Survivor 28: Brawn, Brains and Beauty

Maybe for you but not for me and the people I watch Survivor with. He has been a favorite since early on. I don't find him repugnant at all, but I do find Tony, Trish and Kass despicable.

Yeah I don't really see what Spencer has "done" besides win immunity. Pretty much all his plans have failed and booting LJ wouldn't have happened if Tony didn't want it first. He's just an underdog and people like rooting for an underdog (including me). That said, I think Spencer WILL win if he gets to the finals, but he has to win every immunity challenge from now until then to get there. Not the best position to be in.

Spencer and Tash's targets have not made sense all season. Getting rid of Jeffra and now Trish is good for Tony and Kass respectively. But for players like Spencer and Tash who need to win immunity challenges to get to the finals, they should be targeting challenge competitors, in order to increase their chances of winning each week. Woo hasn't won immunity yet but he was pretty close to beating Tasha in a couple of those challenges. If I was Spencer -- especially since he had immunity last night anyway -- I would've gone to Tony and Trish, told them that Woo had flipped, and offered to vote out Woo. Making a F3 deal with Woo and Kass is pointless since neither of them wants to go to the end with Spencer anyway and will vote him out the first chance he gets. If Spencer was really a great player, he'd have targeted Woo last night and Tony next week.

Final Four is Tony, Spencer, Wu, and Kass. Jefra was voted out a few weeks ago. This season was great, but it might be one of the seasons where I am going to hate the winner. I really don't want either Tony or Spencer to win.

The pre-merge of this season was SO good, but the post-merge has been disappointment after disappointment and the editing really took a hit after the merge, which is a far worse offense because this is a really good cast. I don't think Cagayan would crack my top ten at this point and that's regardless of who wins. Certainly wouldn't be my #4 like Dalton Ross's crazy new season ranking.

So it has been confirmed after all the rumours that it will be a final two this season. I've always wished it stayed at final 2 cos never liked final 3 but now it makes it harder for Spencer to get there. Could you imagine a final two of Kass and Woo that would be a disaster.
I would love to see Kass get her ass voted off cos I would be delighted.

I'm banking on Kass/Woo F2 not only happening but also being Woo's only way to win the season. The players in their exit interviews have not spoken glowingly about Woo's game but the show is trying to frame him as positively as they can, while Tony and Kass's edits have made them look like shit at various points throughout the season and Spencer is the classic "underdog who just came up short in the end" edit.

Man, all of the fake spoilers that had Tasha/Tony/Trish as the final three and Tasha being screwed by a surprise F2 sound like a better season than we ended up with, IMO. If only because I discarded Tony's winning chances based on his edit weeks ago and Trish would have won in that scenario.

Interesting. In her interview with Rob C, Trish insists that anyone who goes to the F2 with Kass will win and deserves to win. Now aside from the fact that this obviously indicates a F2 and not a F3, what else can we deduce from it? The contestants are not allowed to reveal the outcome in interviews but we can parse their words for meaning. The way Trish insists "anyone" would beat Kass and anyone would deserve to, could mean that she's trying to justify a Fabio-like WTF winner so that slipintothefog's scenario comes true i.e. Woo takes Kass to the finals and wins.

OR is she saying that because she knows that Kass didn't actually make it to the finals, and thus she's not revealing any spoilers? But I just can't see a scenario where they would vote out Kass knowing what an easy goat she is to take to the end. I mean...if Spencer won the next immunity and Tony convinces them he has an operating idol, maybe the three guys say, "Look all of us want to take Kass to the finals over each other, so let's take her out now instead and force each of us to take one of us, thereby improving all of our chances for a final spot?" But that just seems...way too level-headed for the manic gameplay we've seen this season, and not a move I've seen consciously enacted since Cirie and Aras smartly decided to take out Terry and Shane's goat on Panama.

What's with Survivor breaking tradition of the Sunday night finale? It has been on Sunday since season 4 in 2002. Still will be 3 hours though on Wednesday.

I think it has a lot to do with how late the season started. I'm pretty sure that The Amazing Race's finale is this Sunday and they probably don't want to hold Survivor's finale until the end of the month. Plus it's not like Idol is going to give it much competition based on how handily Survivor's crushed it in the ratings this year.

yea it was pushed I think due to the Olympics ending, hence why we had a 2 hour premeire,

also from what I heard, next season (29) will be another blood vs water, ugh, but with all newbies, which is interesting, apparently they are being coy about weather the pairs will play together or separate, and then season 30 is in the air, some say all newbies but apparently a lot of vets have been caleed, trying to make season 30 a 'legends' season.

I do think they need something epic for 30, I mean 30! of any show is great let alone a reality show.

Final two really confirmed! Now, if Spencer goes at F3 I'll be SOOOO FRUSTRATED (--Daniele Donato) because everyone will cry about how he was "robbed" by the surprise F2 and then the show will probably never do one ever again.

Well I won't cry but will be disappointed if he doesn't make it f2, especially since I hate Tony so fucking much it is bitter in my mouth. I just feel like players like him last and last and last because nobody has the wits about them to see the truth. Spencer saw it but had already been fighting for his own life so hard he couldn't do anything about it. Jefra saw it but backed down as did Kass.

To be fair I think there will also be a significant amount of outrage from the fans if Tony gets screwed out of the finals because of a surprise F2 as well. I just hope whoever gets screwed over by it doesn't cause the producers to never do another F2 (the last one before this season was Tocantins FIVE YEARS ago!).

If us Cirie fans can swallow her Micronesia defeat for the greater good of a F2, then Tony/Spencer fans can do the same.

Sane Tony/Spencer fans would, but the casuals probably won't. Thought I can't lie, if that "Tasha makes the final three and gets screwed over from a surprise final two" rumor were a reality, I'd be pretty inconsolable myself.

Most importantly slip, if we were on Survivor, you and I would bounce whatever Probst-approved Colby/Terry/Ozzy blowhard was in the F3 with us and take each other to the F2 so that jury would HAVE to give one of us bitches the million bucks (even though we spent the whole season talking shit about all of them).
