Survivor 28: Brawn, Brains and Beauty

Agreed. Because I know you've cited China as one of your less preferred seasons because of Todd winning, I should qualify my list by saying that the overall winner of a season doesn't sway my opinion of a season that much. I watch Survivor for crazy characters and personal journeys over the non-stop strategyfest the show has become in more recent years. That's probably why all of the older seasons are at least in the middle of my list while the bottom seasons are all newer. Because I mean, sure, Natalie White winning Samoa or Yul squeaking out a victory over Ozzy were pleasant surprises, but good god the journeys there were tedious. Whereas even though I wasn't a huge fan of Tony, Cagayan at least didn't throw out the rest of the cast for the sake of giving him a coronation edit like they did for Boston Rob.

So very true. And this may be heresy but...is it OK to say I was actually more entertained by Tony than I was by Boston Rob on Redundant Island?

Definitely. Can you imagine how tedious this season would have been if they edited out of Tony's fights, paranoia and funnier buffoon moments? It'd be like a version of Samoa where Russell actually wins in the end.

I think Wu knew he had no chance at all, so gave it to Tony rather than Kass.

I think Wu have lost to either of them.

Spencer was bang on describing Wu as a dog.

At the end of the day I'd rather see a cop win than a lawyer.

No one was losing to Kass. Not even Jeffra. Woo's decision to take Tony was as dumb as Erik giving up his immunity necklace on Micronesia.

Q: That Final Tribal Council was ruthless. It was very brutal. They really tore into you. Did that rattle your confidence?
Tony: When I went to the Final Tribal, for the most part, they wouldn’t even let me address them back. Every time I tried, they’d say, “Shut up. You’ve already done enough damage.” I was worried. I was thinking, “Oh, man. Please don’t be bitter. Please don’t do that.” But if they’d felt that they shouldn’t vote for me, I would say that my game was flawed. I wouldn’t say that the game is flawed or that the jury is bitter. I would say that I didn’t do my job as a player to make sure that they liked me enough to vote for me. You understand? I was thinking, “Man, I really screwed up, big time.” But watching the game on TV, I knew I played a million dollar game.

Take note, RUSSELL HANTZ.

That line was not only astute but also an obvious dig at Russell...which makes me like Tony even more.
