Survivor 30 - Worlds Apart -

This is obviously NOT going to happen, but my dream would be for Shirin to get to the end and have the jury votes of Joe/Jenn/Hali plus whoever else is pissed off at the other two finalists from the dominant alliance.

That'd be my fantasy too

It's that fucking Mike. Everything he does get big notice. Help me understand Dan and Rodney. How can you have brains like theirs and still be alive? Rodney is so dense I feel he looks at the world through his asshole. Dan, on the other hand, is an ugly, pompous, pure turd that has lingered too long in the toilet.

LOOOOL +1

Tony wasn't an obvious choice for a winner pick at all. The comparisons to Russell Hantz were everywhere during Cagayan (even Tasha made the comparison on the show), and the editors didn't shy away from showing Tony's buffoon moments and many mistakes that Trish had to fix ("Top five, baby! Top five!!" anyone?). At the same time they were building Woo up as a hero (and was compared to a winner, even if it WAS Fabio, by Kass) and it caught a lot of people off guard that Tony both got to the end AND won last year.

I actually think there are scenarios that Shirin could win a final vote, as hashed out in my previous post, but she would have to end up sitting next to a specific set of opponents and benefit from them splitting votes and it'd be really unlikely for everything to fall in place for her like that. But if she DID end up against, say, Dan and Rodney, she could squeak out a win. Sierra, Jenn and Hali all hate Dan/Rodney more than Shirin, and it only takes four votes to win (Mike would probably vote Dan in a S/D/R final, making a 4-3-1 vote possible)...

If the Rodney/Carolyn/Tyler/Will alliance goes all the way, eliminates Jenn & Joe and then turns their attention to Mike (I could see them doing that before bothering with Shirin), I could see the dominoes falling in a way where Rodney/Dan/Shirin gets to the finals and I agree with slip that Shirin COULD benefit from vote splitting there (it would be great to see that happen for the first time since they've had a F3, instead of the third person basically being a place-filler). The hope I'm holding on to is that scene the editors chose to include of Dan berating Shirin for her game and Shirin saying, "Maybe you just don't understand my game." Wouldn't that be a great clip to include if Shirin and Dan DID end up in the finals together?

And if Carolyn was looking at the big picture, she could also benefit from a final 3 combo like that.

IMPORTANT NOTE. Maybe everyone else got this except me, but during his secret scene video, Mike talks about how he finally found the BLUE IDOL after 21 days. In other words, Mike believes he found the idol that was planted on the blue collar tribe that no one else had found. If that's true, then the idol clue Joe got must be for an entirely different idol and there's still chance then that Joe or Mike (ugh) or someone else can find it. A similar thing happened last season when Natalie told Baylor, "We're going to look for that fucking idol" because she knew the original one had not been found.

Also just to support slip's 1 in 100 chance for Shirin, Sophie Clark -- who actually won this game and is easily one of the smartest people in terms of predicting and discussing other seasons -- has Shirin ranked as a potential winner above Jenn, Sierra, Will, Dan and even TYLER.

I hope you're right and I would love shirin to at least get to the end.

When I was saying "tony or russell" edit it was more in terms of time on-screen. Russell was not portrayed as a Hero when Mike is portrayed as a Hero. The whole "crying scene" "idol found" "churchy moments" "Merica tribe name" etc... feels like too much of a winner edit to me...

But as I said I'v always been pretty bad at seeing things like that so I might be entirely wrong. And I hope I am.

I dunno about winning, but Shirin's confessional about getting to the end definitely makes me think she's a finalist, especially after Dan claiming that he "can't wait to see her torch put out" last week. However, I thought the same about Hali being a finalist, so............

and... Carolyn has literally sat down on her idol and is letting the game play on without her being an influence. Sorry the man is gone and the goons are still howling at the moon. What a crap shoot of men left.

I'm convinced Shirin is going to the end as well...with Mike going with her and winning unfortunately.

Gotta say also, Rodney's imitation of Mike was SPOT ON and had me laughing and looking at Rodney differently.

He did a good Dan impression, too.

Shirin outlasting Dan, Carolyn and (based on the preview) Will would be good enough to me. Second place would just be a bonus for the girl everyone hated at the beginning of the season.

I think Worlds Apart's Mike is like Cagayan winner Tony: On alert, in action, and directing the results. If I'm wrong, it's because there will be an upcoming episode in which other players wake up.

ugh so sad that Joe is gone
if they made another heroes n villains season again, I want Joe to be included in heroes tribe

I just want Will gone like this upcoming episode.

LOVED Rodney's Mike impression.

SO glad Jenn didn't quit and she ALMOST got the immunity necklace!!

Sad Joe's gone though.

If they do a returning players I want Joe VS Malcolm or the Joe And Malcolm Show.

Also want Mike gone but he's too powerful with an idol in his pocket.

I'm gratified that a lot of fans seem to be complaining online that this season isn't interesting despite Jeff's oversell.

I don't think this season is that bad... though, yes, if you hype 'AMAZING' and deliver only 'decent, it's going to seem a lot worse in comparison. I'm invested as long as Shirin survives almost as much as I was with Natalie last season.

Hali's Ponderosa Queen crown. So glam <3

Also, she and Joe came to the shocking realization that Will turned on them and Shirin was their alliance's one ally. GOOD JOB A WEEK LATE, BRITTANY TAYLOR.

I definitely liked more people last season (Natalie, Missy, Baylor, Jon, Jacklyn, Jeremy) and it felt like there were more reversals and possibilities in terms of alliances, and of course Natalie screaming at John Rocker. This season has felt flat since the merge and other than Shirin, the only other person I find even remotely interesting now is Rodney (for laughs of course).

But I admit, if Shirin starts to pull this off in the next few episodes the way Natalie did, the season WILL become way more interesting.

Lest we ever doubt Shirin, her Twitter is a reminder that she likes all the right seasons including Pearl Islands and Heroes vs. Villains, and the right people including Sandra, Crystal Cox, Parvati and Rob C. She is my spirit animal (who I'd have to kill in preparation of going on the show because we're both sociopaths, Joaquin).

I also admire Jenn's desire to just troll the rest of the awful people she's living with by legit planning to give Joe immunity just to fuck them all over and laugh about it. The rest of the season needs to be Shirin and her Fatal Attraction-esque "I still have you" partner Jenn owning these bitches.

She's awesome (and also friendly with Jun!)

At least Hali finally realized that Will wasn't with them, not Shirin. Better late than never I suppose
