Exactly ensuring at least one truly deserved player make it to the final two. It's the way it's always worked and always will whether it's a final 2, 3, or 7. People are always going to eliminate the biggest threats or at least attempt to. Part of being a good player is surviving the odds against you. In hopes to create 5 minutes of suspense they're destroying two or three episodes of strategy.

I predicted Courtney to win when the season premiered... I went from regretting it to hoping she would pull off an upset... But she came in second! That was stunning. Her jury answers were good and Todds were even better.

I just wish Amanda answered her questions better. She had it in the bag until fucking Denise ruined it for her and when Amanda choked. She played the nice girl card... Fuck I hate Denise that ugly bitch.

When Jeff gave her the money I pictured him saying "That'll keep YOU fed for about... a week, oh and get a hair cut". Her sob story was shitty, she could so get a better job instead of staying in her rut. You don't go onto a game show to better your families situation... If you rely on that you're pretty bad...

Oh well Todd won. I'm a bit upset, but at least it wasn't Denise. She really ticked me off. Especially when Jeff told her about getting into the final 3 verses the final 4 and she answered it very dumb.
 
Nik2, i agree 100% but also wanted to add that women are always so spiteful when it comes to other women. and men hate being outsmarted by a woman who actually played the game. this shit has happened since season 1. when men lie it's strategy when women lie its conniving and mean.

it's not just that amanda was playing innocent. i think only eric understood where she was coming from. like him she was a competitor and she tried to play a somewhat moral game. but in survivor you cannot make it to the end without lying or just being completely useless like denise. whereas todd completely reveled in backstabbing and lying to people.he also took way more credit than he deserved. giving all the idols to james was beyond idiotic and that was todd's idea.
 
She did just what I feared she'd do. She tried to play the I'm a nice human being card. Jury's HATE that. I still remember when both Vesepea and Neleah tried to play that in season 4 and the jury ate them both alive. She didn't realize her own strength. Instead of saying sorry I betrayed you she should've been shouting that from the hills. People seem to forget that often half the jury comes from another tribe and you never had any loyalty to them. They don't care who's nice they care who earned it. In truth I'm not in a place now to analyze. Todd won this. VJ won most smartest model. Saliesha won America's Next Top Model. The Donnatos won Big Brother. It's just been an all around disappointing reality show season... I don't even want to know what's going to happen with teh amazing race.
 
wasn't surprise todd won. but somewhat shock amanda got the least amount of votes. though the poster above made sense--her answers sucked.
 
What's happening next season? I didn't stick around for the reunion show?
 
It annoys me when people are on their high horse baout not having lied... like Terry when he was asking his question was all I didn't backstab anyone... WELL IT WOULDN'T BENEFIT YOU IN ANY WAY WHY WOULD YOU. People from the minority tribe post merge are always bitchy like that and it's like oh shut up. The game shaped up in a way that allowed you not to lie.

omg i know! i've hated every reality show winner this year. there are more than u mentioned but i cant think of them right now. todd i can live with though. but vj and the dick make my skin crawl.
 
Everyone gets money, based on how long you last.
2nd is $100,000 and 3rd gets $85,000 in past seasons and it drops down from there fairly sharply.
 
Yeah they said at least one member from China would be on the next show which will be in February.

Alright...onto the finale. What the hell was up with Todd's hair? Was he trying to pay respect to Denise with a crappy haircut.

Denise - You aren't the first, and certainly not the last member of Survivor to be a "low income". I can kinda respect the school's decision not to let her return to work. It is a distraction, and the kids would all surround her. Her responses were idiotic regarding everything.
 
Yeah well it better be Aaron who's back so they can make up for this crappy result.

Press Release: Mrs. Denise Martin
December 17, 2007

On the “Survivor China” television program that aired on December 16, 2007, Mrs. Denise Martin, an employee of the Douglas Public Schools, stated that she was demoted from her position as a cafeteria worker upon her return from taping the show. This statement is false. In fact, Mrs. Martin held a full-time position as a custodian prior to her participation in the series, and she returned to this same position upon her return from China. Mrs. Martin was granted - at her request - an unpaid leave of absence so that she could participate in the “Survivor” program. We were pleased and excited to support Denise, and have enthusiastically cheered her on throughout the duration of the show.

Although Mrs. Martin was a cafeteria employee prior to her selection as a contestant, she asked to be considered for a promotion to full-time custodian, and was promoted to this position on March 30, 2007. This promotion came with additional benefits and a higher salary. Following her leave, she then returned to this same position.

Regretfully, the Douglas Public School District was inaccurately portrayed as failing to be accommodating to an employee during what the District viewed as a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity. This is far from the case. On the contrary, we granted all requests made by Mrs. Martin so that she could participate in the “Survivor” series. Since Mrs. Martin was on an approved leave, her position was held open for her, and she returned to this same position upon her return from China. As a District, we make every effort to support our employees, and will continue to do so.
