Survivor Game Changers

SPOILER ALERT. I discuss the rumored F3.

If Sarah makes it to the end with Brad and Troyzan and loses, I'm going to be fucking pissed. She's not my favorite but she CLEARLY is playing a smart game, better than either of those bozos, and doesn't deserve to be seen as the tagalong girl as often happens when women end up in the finals with alpha guys on this show.

I can't see the ending leading to anything else based on the editing.

Also, Neat Lady Monica Culpepper making an appearance last night <3

After all that went on in the second tribal, I wonder what Tai plans with his idols that he just doesn't play.

I am not crazy about Sarah, and I hated seeing Cirie get called like that, but jeez. wtf?

If Culpepper or Troyzan win over anyone else it a mind fuck. They don't really do shit.

The show's desire for big moves collapsing in on its own fine print is extremely fitting. It would have been awesome to see Cirie use the vote stealer though.

Aubry's been getting the Kimmi edit for most of the season and with individual immunity, three idols and a legacy advantage still in play at the final six, I wouldn't be surprised to see a repeat of that happen during the finale, hopefully this time without Probst wasting five minutes to draw the audience at home a diagram of what just happened.

Just got through the sixth place boot and all I have to say is thanks Sierra for ruining the season. Sarah would have gone without that stupid Legacy Advantage instead of an auto-elimination.

Excellent win.

I hated Brad Culpepper so much in this final show. And Ozzy made me furious as did some others during final tribal but redeemed himself at the Reunion. I still hate Culpepper. I really think Troyzan is a nice person.

Sarah would've gone if there weren't a bazillion fucking idols and advantages floating around in the game! We've complained about this for years and now this ridiculousness finally took someone out. And not just anyone: CIRIE.

But can we talk about the fact that the F6 vote was for Sarah/Tai/Aubry which means Cirie had somehow finagled ANOTHER 3-2-1 split like she did in Panama? QUEEN!

Four times on Survivor and Cirie has yet to be voted out cleanly (firemaking tiebreaker, surprise F2, idol victim, victim of twistpalooza). Why can't she have an entire season rigged for her like Boston Rob did?

Once the F3 was confirmed, I had no choice but to root for Sarah. And certainly it's better a strong woman win than another douche Probst calls by his last name.

The way Cirie went out really pissed me off, and let's be real, most people saw it coming from a mile away. "Bla bla historical bla", it's BULLSHIT. I'm sorry, but this game should be about social and strategic game moves and 4 people playing immunity idols isn't all that social. I like the Hidden Immunity idols, but come on, 3 + that advantage is just over kill, especially this late in the season. Cirie deserved better.

As for the winner... I'm glad Sarah won. I didn't agree with some of her moves, but she is still a solid winner and I can't help cheer for her beating Brad, whose arrogance clearly showed in this last episode. Also, Ozzy yet again bitter at a strategic female player. Parvati, Sophie, now Sarah. God, I hope he doesn't come back for a fifth time.

not the best choice but Im glad Sarah won this

and still Cirie is legendary player

Sarah is a decent winner and easily would have been my vote out of that final three HOWEVER the fact that she would have been voted out without the Legacy advantage will be a sticking point for me as an armchair viewer to keep her out of the upper echelon. And like I know idols and twists are just part of the game now, but even back when there was just immunity from winning a challenge I was more impressed by a winner like Sandra who was always vulnerable but still able to maneuver around said vulnerability.

The thing that burned my ass was Andrea coming at Sarah like she was some pariah, and Ozzy and some others followed suit until Zeke spoke up and then Mikaela blasted their asses when she voted. Culpepper was such a dick with Tai. That bullying tactic made me want to kick his teeth in. If Tai hadn't of given his second idol to Aubrey it would have been between Aubry and Cirie. It was heartbreaking to see Cirie go that way. There are too many idols and too many advantages. Sierra's advantage that was given to Sarah, then the legacy advantage that Sarah was able to swipe from under Mikaela's bench. I would rather Troyzan win over Culpepper and I'm sorry but I don't like his wife, Monica either. Never did.

I didn't respond until now... Sarah [Lacina] earned having won Survivor: Game Changers. Sarah understood what she did wrong, when she first played in Cagayan (Spring 2014) and, with her Second Chance, focused doggedly on pursing winning Game Changers. Seven of the ten votes cast by the jurors perceived that that was what she achieved.

Yes - I thought Cirie was screwed. There was no vote against her. I felt she was a victim of greedy producers trying to throw too many spins into the game. Jeff said "the tribe has spoken" and "#th (I can't remember the number) voted out of the tribe - she wasn't voted out!!! I thought it would be great if they played all of the idols and the advantage and it just killed the vote and Cirie stayed. I wonder what would have happened then?

Of course who knows what could have happened if there weren't seven different things combining to result in Cirie's elimination, but one possible scenario: Sarah goes out 6th without the legacy advantage (since Cirie pulled a 3-2-1 vote against her). Assuming Brad immunity wins his way to the end still, it's not out of the question that he and Troy would go after Aubry before Cirie, since Aubry is a bigger challenge threat, and then he still goes after Tai at the F4 because of their little spat, resulting in Brad/Troy/Cirie F3 and a Cirie win.... </3

I don't use the word "robbed" often for these social gameshows, but Cirie is one of the few to whom I'd apply that word. If she played Survivor under the original rules, she could have won at least once by now. Instead she's screwed over by an overpowered immunity idol forcing a tie on her, production at the last minute pushing a final two on Amanda/Parvati/Cirie when they were all expecting a final three, and now five different people being immune causing her to go home without receiving a vote against her. Even her cleanest elimination to date (Heroes vs. Villains) had to be done with a hidden immunity idol. </3

Slip I had the SAME thought and it's one of those maddening results that will always bother me. Had there not been a bazillion idols and advantages at F6 on Game Changers and had Sarah therefore gone out the way the votes came down (and Sarah confirmed in interviews that she had no clue votes were coming her way so she never would've played the idol/advantage if it wasn't her last time to play it anyway) I think a more-likely-than-not case can be made for the scenario you describe. The reason this is easy to game out is because

1) Cirie being there instead of Sarah doesn't change the immunity challenge outcomes since Sarah didn't win any of those and Cirie has never won one before.

2) Aubry and Tai would still be there for Brad to target for the very same reasons he targeted them with Sarah in the game.

3) If Brad was blind to Sarah's game (which was far superior to Aubrey's or Tai's), he easily could've been blind to Cirie's as well since he's the kind of alpha male who thinks stinking at challenges means weakness.

So yes if Sarah goes out at F6, I think it's almost guaranteed we would've finally had a Cirie win WHICH JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW BULLSHIT THESE IDOLS AND ADVANTAGES AND TWISTS ARE. This isn't like when me and slip wave the minority flag for Courtney or something. Cirie is BELOVED by the show's mainstream fans and the producers and Jeff clearly share that affinity for her hence the "uplifting" complete the challenge moment and standing ovation in the finale and Jeff just lavishing praise on her in a way he only reserves for alpha guys. In other words, everyone wanted to see Cirie win and the show couldn't get out of its fucking way enough to just let that happen. She was on track to do it AGAIN and just like in Micronesia, uncontrollable stupid twists screwed her over.

My maxim remains: Survivor and Big Brother will only break the rules to break your heart.

More importantly, if Sarah had been out at F3, there could have been a majority of Aubry/Tai/Cirie at F5. Yes, they would have to turn on each other when Brad wins immunity again, so either Cirie manages to convince Brad and either Aubry or Tai to stick with her, or she's in a fire making challenge again. Either way, she would not have been screwed by some stupid twists.

On an unrelated note: If there had been a Final 3 in FvF, I'm still not entirely convinced Cirie would have won. I would have liked to see how that one would go though, there might have been a chance of a tie

Honestly I agree that Cirie wouldn't have necessarily won Micronesia if there were a F3 (James, Erik and Ozzy would have voted for Amanda; Natalie would have voted for Parvati; Eliza would have voted for Cirie; people have speculated that Jason and Alexis would have voted for Cirie too but at best that's still only a tie, and now we know the tie breaker would be that Parvati casts the deciding vote, which would probably be for Amanda), but it's still bullshit that she didn't even get a chance to plead her case.
