Survivor Samoa

I LoL'd at that woman making fun of Shambo.

"Hey guys, guess what? You're never gonna believe it. There's FISH in the OCEAN!"
Which raises the question: if there were lots of fish on the reef, why was she in that mucky, dirty, probably contaminated pond? Oh yeah, because she made such a federal case about her team taking a break in the ocean when there was a [STRIKE]marine barracks[/STRIKE] shelter to build.
Russell is an arrogant bastard.
With a Napoleon complex.

OK as for my thoughts on last night...UGH!!!!!!!! That bastard just HAD to find the idol. Now I know a lot of people are thinking he may have been directed but I honestly don't think we need to assume that. If you remember back to the first season with the immunity idol Gary found it within the first episode they spent at the combined camp without any clues and it was at that time in a tree. I know I sure as hell wouldn't have bothered to look for it. But when you think about it... there's no exile this year, the idol's always deceptively close to the camp, he was the only one looking, anyone who's seen BB knows how muhc downtime there is. So it's more then possible but entirely revolting. I fear he's gonna be around for a while. But if the previews mean anything than at least Jaison will flush it out next week... hopefully.

Sadly that may be the end of Jaison, which is sad because I think I like him.

Too bad it couldn't be Ben, who gets more loathsome wiht each minute he's there. GOD and with a moron like him at his side Russel could propel himself forward. shiver.

Also Yasmin is fucking nuts. Shambo is annoying. I just plan to sit and wait until we finally start seeing hte purple tribe and pick a favorite there. But sarcastic bitch is a plus.

I don't like that there was voting despite Mike's ejection. I kinda understand it but it pisses me off because Betsy would be there for the Russ hating group that apparently starts next week and her vote would likely benefit them.

I think that's all for now... I need to go backread posts.

I think they usually hold a TC after an evacuation depending on the cast size. When a cast of twenty, Mike going probably prevented the season from needing a double boot episode, whereas Tocantins only had a cast of sixteen.

Yasmin is fierce.

I guess size is the most likely answer as there's no way they didn't know Russel was a total douche and that Betsy being his opponent being saved would be better for television.

Yasmin is something... don't know if fierce is the word I'd use.

I'm really getting Coach-like vibes from the way Russell has been dominating the season's airtime so far. I hope he doesn't last as long as Douche did on Tocantins... somebody causing drama for the first few episodes is alright, but an entire season of it would be unbearable.

I agree whole heartedly and what makes me detest the whole thing even more is how blatantly they're shoving him down out throats in the promos. I need to sit someone in the CBS ad dept down for a little chat.

Also why no separate immunity and reward challenges this week??? Week 2 always has both do they not?

Yasmin is nuts. Ben is a prick. Russell is an arrogant bastard.

Why do we never see the Galu tribe?! We got a brief glimpse of Shambo last night but the rest of the episode focused on Foa Foa. I feel like I don't know any of these people, LoL.

Not seeing Galu is a good sign for them. It means that you'll have plenty of time to get to know them later. But for a BB fan you may never feel like you know these people what with only 1 hour a week :P

Yeah Laura's life about Shannon was funny and sarcastic

I m not sure I like her if I remember her bio and video but we'll see...

Foa Foa is gonna go down quickly I think...

Liz and Jaison on the chopping block IMO

Also why no separate immunity and reward challenges this week??? Week 2 always has both do they not?

I was going to come here and post up the same thing. And because there weren't separate challenges, this episode was a snore... Basically it was a few minutes of people in the challenge, and then for the rest of the episode we had to bear with Ben and his crazies and Russell and his rantings.

Someone should smack Russell good- he's NOT that in control of the game as he thinks he is. They didn't vote out Betsy because HE wanted them too, it was just a natural order of the game- she was the oldest amongst them. No, dude, you don't determine the game.

I think it would be cool if Jaison could finally form a team to get rid of Russell, because with the exception of Ben, I think the rest of Foa Foa aren't wrapped around that pudgy fingers of his. But you're probably right (by the way the producers are building up Russell as this Super-badass character- he's probably going to last looooooooongggg) probably Foa Foa would win the next round (and subsequently Shamu the killer whale gets voted off) and Russell survives to see another day.

By the way, how hot is this? *swoons* !oops!

I'm a doctor myself, but I'm not even close to looking like this ...

Anyway, how about Ben talking back to Jeff, hm? I've watched many many seasons of Survivor before but you seldom get to see people clashing swords with Jeff.

He was all pursing his lips and stuffs... Oh no you didn't [-X

I'm not sure why you guys are so against Jeff. I'm actually a huge fan. At the very least he's doing a better job at commentaries than say Phil from Amazing Race. That dude just read monotonous lines day after day... I don't get how you guys say he affects the outcomes of the game. If he does chip in or build suspicion towards certain tribe members, he does it ONLY during tribal council, and by then, even if 1. you have a freaking suspicion that people are actually going to blindside you and vote you out 2. there's someone else rather than the guy you were going for who much deserved to be voted off - there was basically not much else you CAN do. Decisions have been made, there are no discussions to be made during the time, so the outcome of the vote wouldn't have been changed anyway.

Plus I'm a sucker for guys with dimples...

To each their own. The academy agrees with you so maybe there's something there I just don't see. But as far as I'm concerned he meddles and disrespects most of the players. He doesn't ask 'tough' questions to all people. If you watch he plays favorites and basically anyone who's not playing his physical game his questions are 'but come on, he's like really strong!'

He harassed Kenny for choosing a 'weak' player when that very choice allowed him to manipulate her and stay in the majority of his tribe. He outed the first "alliance" in council in affect sending the others after Richard, failed as their attempts were. He just doesn't know how to deal with anything other than straight up win challenges strategy.

Jeff does sometimes occasionally make me say "WTF?". And he is seemingly becoming more selectively biased and manipulative in recent seasons. But, I still think he is good for the show; after 19 seasons he is part of the game. I think it's fair to say that players need to consider Jeff as a factor in the game, and maybe even strategize around him. I think the recent "villains" have figured this out. They know bad attention can actually be good attention. It may not win them the game, but it certainly keeps them around on the show much longer.

Remember the first Survivor when the reunion was hosted by Bryant Gumbel? Yuck, we don't want that again!

Also why no separate immunity and reward challenges this week??? Week 2 always has both do they not?

The last time that a separate Reward and Immunity Challenge was held was in China

I was going to come here and post up the same thing. And because there weren't separate challenges, this episode was a snore... Basically it was a few minutes of people in the challenge, and then for the rest of the episode we had to bear with Ben and his crazies and Russell and his rantings.

I really think Russell is in control of the tribe. Even Betsy said it on Survivor Talk and she knows what happened

As much as Jeff gets on my nerves, I have to agree with this. I rewatched the first four seasons of Survivor earlier this year, so the reunions are fresh in my mind, and Gumbel was awful. At least Jeff doesn't act like it's a chore to talk to these people.

--

I really hope that the purple tribe (Galu?) loses the Immunity Challenge in the next episode so that somebody other than Shambo can get some screentime. We had the thing with Yasmin in the second episode and Russell had some time in the first episode because he was the leader, but I don't know who any of the other seven people are. (Except "There's FISH in the OCEAN!" lady. <3)

How does Jeff keep winning Emmy's for his shitty hosting? He was such a smug bastard when he went to accept the award. He's really the worst host because he gets way too involved in the game, gives up strategy and blatantly favors all the alpha male players.

Say what you will.....I still want to make sweet love to him!

Wow, I just threw up in my mouth.

Just remember to act like a manly, alpha-male, sexist jackass. That's clearly what Jeff's into. He still pops a boner every time someone mentions the name Terry.

LMAO !!!

I dont mind Jeff, but still He's annoying, manipulative and cocky

ehehe

THE PERFECT PIC just for you guys ;) lol
