^^ I love Cirie I hope she is on season 20. I agree that Sugar helped make the season somewhat entertaining, but there were a couple of big characters in Gabon and they all added something to the season. I actually do like Sugar but when it became obvious that she wasn't playing to win kind of turned me off.

I enjoy good TV but I enjoy people who make good TV and Try to win at the same time such as Crystal, Johnny Fairplay, and Boston Rob.

I dont like
- Galu Russell... he's kinda cocky and thinks he's in control, and even if I dont like Shambo, the fact he didnt let her have that feast (when she was taking part in the challenge) was not fair at all!
- Monica. Please let her go !!
- The predictable editing
- 20 invisible castaways = final 2 Shambo/ Russell
- You don't have to read any spoilers to know who's going to be evacuate next week. the "next time on" editing showed it


I like :
- Natalie voting off "her sister"
- Brett & Josh
- Kelly just because I like her lol
- Foa Foa loosing again
- The constant rain and them being wet and cold


The problem is I don't see any evolution week after week...
I mean I was rooting for kelly, brett, Nat & Josh from the getgo but my impression didnt change because we NEVER see them.
It's like they're still 20, and nobody was voted off I so want a swap !!!!

I agree with that. Sugar provided some entertaining moments but her actively sabotaging people kind of ruined the end of Gabon. However, I'd still pick her over just about any of the girls from Samoa.

Crystal was the star of that season for me and a lot of Internet fans. EAT YO RICE!

It's pretty sad that I talk more about Gabon than Samoa in the Survivor: Samoa thread, isn't it? I wish Laura would say something amusing like "There's FISH in the OCEAN!" again, but she slipped right back into invisibility after that one slightly humorous confessional. This show needs another Courtney Y. who can fill the role as the go-to girl for a funny confessional.

I don't think the problem is so much that they're casting from non-applicants but who they chose and I don't like the fact they keep feeling the need to add people. I don't get it. Like how is that going to make the show any better. Want a twist we've never seen before that will increase the number of episodes without unnecessarily ballooning teh cast... send tehm to tribal let them vote open up the little clue bottle to reveal they didn't vote someone off the island but to the other tribe or that there won't be any eliminations period or that rather than being voted off that person was going to be given an immunity idol and there would be no elimination.

^^ I think the "maxim" most of these people live by when they agree to play a game without researching the game is, "I'm gonna be on TV!!"

Sure, that explains the motivation to apply in the first place, but how does it explain the lack of preparation? It's not like they're going to be on Jeopardy! and have to memorize the encyclopedia; it wouldn't be that hard. I don't think simple stupidity or obliviousness can account for it.

What's especially odd is how this sort of cavalier dismissal of negative consequences is often coupled with absurdly high expectations. People expect a reality show appearance to catapult them into hitherto unimaginable stardom, yet they don't anticipate that being a jerk will make people think that they're, well, a jerk.

Maybe it's not all that remarkable to anyone else, but it's so odd to me, and so far removed from what I would do, that I just scratch my head.

The real question, though, is whether or not anybody still cares.

I hope they still have a Tribal Council after the medevac tonight. Hell, this season would benefit from having six medevacs and a Tribal Council tonight because that means it would end sooner.

UGH I'm disgusted already and it's just the recap. RUSSEL decided to send Ashley home??!?! In what universe?? Just like the week before he failed at his objectives and had to suck it up.

I hate double elimination weeks they make the challenge pointless though there seems to be less challenges this season anyway for no reason at all.

Foa Foa deserves that reward though. A) They were in the clear lead B) Why should they be penalized for Russel collapsing? That's just unfair.

Liz and other blonde disappoint me as they're clearly unable to think outside of the box and just except that they're at the mercy of the "boys" rather than trying to break them up. WEAK.

The men of Galu showing inferior reasoning ability and missing Monica's very valid observation that Shambo will easily flip on them... just as weak.

I never thought I'd stop watching Survivor but I very well might.

I agree, most of the women that go on this show are so useless, they allow the men to run things and just sit back and accept that they will be voted out. That is part of the reason why we haven't had many female winners. The women just allow the alpha males to run things and hope that they can attach themselves to an alpha male and be dragged to the end.

I miss women like Parvati, Ami, and Cirie.

Actually, the male-to-female winner ratio was pretty even, if not tipped in favor of the women (after Jenna, Sandra and Amber had won), until around Exile Island. Incidentally, I think that was the point when the casting of the show had visibly deteriorated to favor models and actresses, and it's not really surprising that the female winners have all but vanished with casting bringing on such clueless female recruits.

I really can't picture any of the remaining women winning Samoa. We saw what brilliant strategists Natalie and Liz are in tonight's episode, and Galu has winners such as Shambo and Laura, who looks like she'll become another one of the Russhole's "puppets" according to the next episode preview. Kelly and Monica who?

Such a crap episode...they should have just fast forward a couple days and let us watch the next challenge. So boring just to watch them bitch about the rain and sitting around. And I am not even going to mention Russell anymore, I believe he doesn't deserve anymore attention.

Shambo...wow, what a stupid player. What is with her going around asking people not to write her name down? And then tell the people everything that she has done in the camp such as making fire the first eight days, collecting firewood. I am surprised no one mentioned to her about her mistakes such as letting the chicken go, and losing fishing gear.

Add my vote to tedium. A tribal council just to have a chit chat after telling both teams that one would go from each tribe.

But getting to see some quality John, Brett and Eric was worth a little of it. Those three guys are hot.

This episode was.... USELESS .. LOL so annoying !!

I liked
- Russel passing out (only exciting moments thus far)
- The rain... I love to see them struggle hardcore
- John, Brett, Kelly & Natalie...

I Didnt like:
- Everything else (from Russel to Dan, from TC to challenge, from twist to no twist...)

I mean they advert an episode with exciting stuff, never seen before scene and what do we get ?
Rain, Rain, Rain, Russel loving himself, Rain, Shambo dumbo, Rain, Rain, 12 seconds of challenge, Russel out, Rain, Tribal council... Nothing


This season is really really bad...
