Susan Boyle's 1st Week U.S. Sales Projected @ 550K+

To me the real measure of success is not only selling records but getting your music on the radio. I haven't heard any songs from Susan's or Whitney's albums. My wife got me Susan's album for X-mas (she thought I wanted it) and I have to say I didn't like it all that much. I think Susan has a good voice but is more of a novelty. I think alot of people bought the album just to be a part of all the hype surrounding her performance on Britians Got Talent and the Youtube explosion that followed. I know that's why my wife bought it for me!! To anyone that hasn't bought the album save your money it's not that good!! As for Whitney I hope she can get back to where she use to be but right now she seems to have lost it!!! IMHO

Susan Boyle to receive $6 million on birthday:gogirl:

Boyle will become a multi-millionairess on her 49th birthday on April 1. The payout comes from her worldwide appearances and sales of her chart-topping debut album, "I Dreamed A Dream", which went platinum in six countries, reported mirror.co.uk .

It broke the British charts record for the fastest-selling debut album in history, with 3.1 million bought in its first month. In other places, she has sold more than 8.5 million copies.
"Every day Susan wakes up having to pinch herself. She cannot believe how the public has taken her to their hearts everywhere. She has not wanted for anything since finding fame and now she will reap the benefit of her hard work," said a source.

"It's her first taste of what serious money is like and it's all hers," added the source.

One of Susan's first investments is likely to be a new luxury home with tight security near her home town of Blackburn, West Lothian.

^ Wow, awfully strange seeing Avril Lavigne in the top 100. Haven't seen that in a while...

I didn't know Train was back either. Weird.

I think that Avril Lavigne was for that horrible Alice in Wonderland movie.offtopic:

Rage Against The Machine Want To Perform With Susan Boyle

Rage Against the Machine's frontman Zack de la Rocha has revealed that the band is interested in having Susan Boyle sing with the band when they perform in the U.K. this summer. "We love Susan Boyle, she is hot," de la Rocha told The Sun.

The band will make its way to the U.K. to perform as a thank you to the British fans who made the 1992 hit "Killing in the Name" the number one U.K. single this past Christmas. The campaign to make the song number one was begun on Facebook in order to prevent Simon Cowell, Boyle's mentor, from earning the top spot for the fourth year in a row via his newest protégé Joe McElderry.

Frontman Zack de la Rocha tells Britain's The Sun, "I really hope there are no hard feelings with Simon. He seemed to think that it was a bullying campaign but the truth is the British people wanted a change."

The interest in Boyle was presented as a peace offering to Cowell.

"To show there are no hard feelings we would like [Boyle] to perform with us on stage this summer. She is a great vocalist and we would love to perform 'Killing in the Name' with her."
