I think that when it gets to a certain point, you have to recognise that whereas your anger might seem righteous and justified in the moment, it often contributes to the toxicity of the forum more so than neutralising it. At a certain point, getting a slam on somebody seems just as much about self-satisfaction as championing for a worthwhile cause. Anger is addictive.

There's a middle ground between being indifferent and being unremitting, and I think it's important that we occupy it. Calling people out on their behaviour is worthwhile, but so is making sure you're not just jumping down into the mud with them. When you let your anger win, you're harming your ability to persuade the observers. If people see two idiots shouting at each other and wrestling in the mud, they're far less likely to consider the given arguments than if one (or both) of the people are calm and reasonable. If you want your perspective to be considered by the people watching, then there are better ways to go about making your point. And if you find yourself thinking less about how your point will be perceived by others, then maybe it's less about making your point and more about succumbing to anger.

I like you rareboy, and I have a huge amount of respect for you and your contributions to the forum, but I don't agree with your approach here. It may not be harming JUB to the same extent as the people you're calling out, but I still think it's doing harm and I do think you need to reconsider your approach/motivations.

But where does it all end? You post a thread about it, he makes another which only creates more of the same thing.

What good does it do other than create more of the same thing which gets to a point where someone gets banned or both.

And we should know.

All I have to say is, I don't like this pretty picture that people are trying to paint of him. Cause these people either didn't see a lot of the stuff he said, willfully ignoring it or because it doesn't pertain to them so they don't care that it would bother other people.

That said MissAnne, Razor and Buzzer are people I miss as well. The first 2 aren't people I heavily interacted with but enjoyed what they said.

Within the first month that he was posting on JUB, Grimshaw was trawling for fellow travellers in the cause of anti-semitism. It was around the same time that we had another poster from Stormfront also posting in CE&P.

I promised Grimshaw that I would never, ever let him turn JUB into a gathering ground or village square for white supremacists...that every racist post that he made would be answered. He dropped the whole 'Jews are responsible for everything bad' and picked up other narratives.....including colour based racism, misogyny, sexuality and body image shaming and Islam. Almost always subtle enough to walk that fine line of 'acceptability'...and I have no doubt that along the way, there are many... perhaps even you, who thought "I may not agree with everything he says, but...he has a point here about Islam/blacks/women/lesbians/tattoos/people on welfare/Asians/fat people on welfare/etc'.

The only time Grimshaw was neutralized was in the Belamo threads...where he could post sometimes thoughtfully and intelligently on literature and the arts. For anyone who is falsely claiming that he was being 'stalked' by me...have a look at those threads. You won't find a single response from me that undercuts or otherwise disagrees with his opinions and observations.

I have no idea why you didn't find his posting history objectionable and honestly, I don't think I really care.

I don't care if some want me on trial or blame me for his holiday. I had nothing to do with it because he had me on ignore so he was never even aware of my contra-posts. And if you and others really want JUB to be flooded with a hundred threads on the evils of muslims, then, when he returns, knock yourselves out.

I will continue to make posts and threads that mock and deride the obsessive and intellectually vacant attempts to de-humanize 1.2 billion people on earth by hanging every attack by madmen on them. The last time this happened and enough people didn't fight back against the lies, it allowed the Holocaust.

I do appreciate people like Rareboy, Buzzer, johaninsc, ... who do relentlessly stand up for the integrity of JUB... and I'm pretty sure I've said this before... I think it's a shame they have to police this place against the obvious trolls that run rampant around here.

It's just a shame that aside from johaninsc the others have sunk to the level of the so called trolls and indeed have baited and stalked people across the board.

I was hoping that recent bannings would have put a halt to this but sadly not.

Yeah, it had become quite clear the Digitallove had been following me all last week (not just in my own made threads, but various others) thing is I mainly ignored responding in an outburst like he was hoping.

To be honest, I'm fine with it. Though I still don't understand how missing a fellow Jubber is a form of baiting like he expressed above.

Responding to posts and following threads is not stalking, although that is what you and Grimshaw and Bender seem to think that that is what it is. But it isn't. Once you have a brain storm and press 'Post Quick Reply'...whatever you or I or anyone else throws out there is fair game for response. What you don't like is that although about 74% of what you post is designed to provoke a negative response...you don't like getting them, because you never have any good defense for whatever opinion you have run up the flagpole.

Oh please. I have nothing but the highest regard for Johan. I am only commenting that it is no secret that the LPW crowd enjoys seeing a good donnybrook in Hot Topics. Otherwise, people start complaining about how boring Hot Topics and JUB is.

Don't worry pusscat. You'll have Grimshaw back here soon enough grinding the gears of all of us he loathes and then you'll be able to bask and watch.

It has become obvious that he is the one thing he pretends he's protesting against on here. Sadly, he knows that the members in question aren't that beloved so he uses the fighting against trolls defense to troll the forum himself.

It's clearly for his own amusement and in no way for the good of the forum.
