I know exactly why they want to go through it. They are desperate to be seen as 'normal' and be accepted. Exactly the type that snake oil salesmen love because they are so anxious to believe that they don't question. That doesn't make the science behind the therapy any more valid and the evidence is pretty clear from the medical experts and third-party investigators that have looked at the science.

I'm not against the idea in theory. My belief is that the further apart in years two people are, the more they exist in what you might call "different worlds". The concerns of a 20-year-old are rarely the same as the concerns of a 40-year-old. These differences need to be remembered and addressed at all times. If I felt this would-be boyfriend was mature enough to handle it, I might be willing to try.

I'm african/black american and a flamboyant gay man and was born in the early 1990s, I grew up in the inner urban city. yet I believe I'm actually an old white man in a past life. Based on the type of music I listen to and the shows I watch.

Like how many other gay black men around my age watch old westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. I don't think that many?
