It is so clear by now that this regime has no fucking clue what it is doing and is panicking now about the rising costs of groceries and the danger to their own power as their credibility on tariffs
crumbles in the public eye. Even their constant lies can't convince anyone except the stupidest of voters. The gamble of shicking price increases they could still blame on Biden follwed up by lower quarterly or annual increases in inflation after isn't panning out and now as US Americans come toward Christmas they are desperate to deliver something.

I imagine that TrumpCo. is getting a daily earful from Congressional reps worried about open revolt of their constituents.

Trump is apparently rolling back a slew of tariffs on food products including coffee, beef and dozens of other products (the same week as imposing 127% tariffs on Italian pasta).

Go figure.

^ I’m not so sure, Trump has made a big show of helping and being concerned for his struggling voters but the devil is in the details. Brazil was subject to 2 tariffs one at 10% and a second at 40% and Trump is scrapping the 10% one but keeping the 40% tariff so the effect on prices will be something short of exciting.

And when asked I guarantee he will give an answer that will make the issue worse. No TACO Trump here he really believes in tariffs and not just for negotiating purposes.
