His arrogance and cynicism are staggering. They are just trolling the American workers at this point.

But a con game is literally a confidence game. They have to keep making US americans think this is all going to turn out well because if confidence sinks lower, it will only worsen the recession.

Still will mean a rise in prices for US Americans as a consumer tax is permanently baked into the price structure.

It probably will still be less expensive for Apple to have them made in India and get the customers to pay an additional 25% upcharge than to build a plant, staff it and produce iphones in the US.

There's a new book out that talks about how Apple invests $55 BILLION per year into China to train workers and to build new supply chains.

Ironically, Apple also fronted the money that trained the Chinese workers at their competitors like Huawei. Huawei is the largest cellphone manufacturer in the world. Huawei has their own operating system for their phones called HarmonyOS.

Anything that Trump does to sabotage Apple's market share will boost Huawei's market share and it will lead to HarmonyOS becoming the predominant operating system, instead of iOS or Android.
