Re: Taylor Swift might be lesbian or bisexual

I hope she is gay or lesbian

Re: Taylor Swift might be lesbian or bisexual

Who cares, she's dull.

Looks like she could do with a good fuck.

Re: Taylor Swift might be lesbian or bisexual

I bet Chaz Bono just his first erection.

Re: Taylor Swift might be lesbian or bisexual

I dont think shes a lesbian. Maybe bi but if u look at the pics, it looks like Karlie Kloss is the one instigating the kiss which makes me think that shes the lesbian.

Re: Taylor Swift might be lesbian or bisexual

I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea who Taylor Swift is.

Re: Favorite Taylor Swift song?

All Too Well, Red, and Safe and Sound.

Somewhere upon my piles and piles of 60s & 70s Rock and 80s Metal are a few Taylor Swift albums, not gonna lie about it.

Re: Taylor Swift and 12 sexy male celebs(past and present)

I can't stand this conceited bitch---she acts like she's all virginal and has had sex with more guys than a gay dude lol
Plus---they dump her real fast---one guy who did her said she was terrible sex---just laid there like a dead fish.

Re: Taylor Swift and 12 sexy male celebs(past and present)

Tom Hiddelston and Jake G do it for me.

I can't stand her either!! She acts like a victim, she obviously isn't a good girlfriend, she gets dumped all the time and then she writes a song about it and people are silly enough to buy the shit she produces!!! Good grief

I can't believe the last post here was 2016.

So, not a hater or a superfan. I listen to a lot of her music and hear why she got popular. I like a good bit of it. I came around to her outside of pop culture news and gossip which, yes, probably turns a lot of people off her. I also came around to her more not until years after leaving a supermarket job where she gets played constantly. That helped.

There really was something to her old music especially. Striking a balance between a relatable/storytelling/conversational kind of style and catchiness like she did. Not easy. She was neither too 'wordsy' or 'folky,' or too 'trashy pop.' At Taylor's best I enjoy the balance of those two things.

But homegirl or her team does not have the best instincts for choosing or curating her songs. I don't think they ever did, even at her musical peak (which I think was 'Red' to '1989' - she had moments before that, but also some really juvenile (like "Mean") or overly-sappy songs (like "I Almost Do") spoiling the party at times). Unfortunately it's kind of hampered her ability to put an album that's truly a fully even listen from start to finish.

I was originally gonna post this to Reddit, but it's fucking nearly impossible to post to any popular topics over there  so here it goes:

-

I'm rooting for her to put out just one perfect album - IDK if she's capable.

The reason I think is that even in the cases she has, or had, the songs from a certain album's recording cycle to do it, I think she or label, team, whoever, invariably choose a 'wrong' one or two to include on the main album rather than leave as a bonus track or a 'vault.'

I bought Red TV on CD a couple of years ago (my second fave of hers), I like it, but just talking the songs that make up the main album, the mish-mash of pop jams and slightly more coffee shop stuff doesn't work totally. It was an absolute crime to leave off 'The Moment I Knew' over 'Stay Stay Stay' for instance on the main version, and a few others are kind of more sappy for me, so I disqualified that album from being perfect right away.

A few weeks ago I bought 1989 TV on CD (Aquamarine Green version) - I still can't believe Team Taylor was bold enough to say 'collect all these different versions' though lol. Anyway, this one is a lot closer to being perfect for me, but the big hole in it for me is 'How You Get the Girl.' It's not terrible, but especially 'Wonderland' or 'New Romantics,' but also hell, even 'Sl**' or 'You Are In Love' are better than that one for me.

I think opinions would differ about the individual songs, but I'm sure anyone who's played a full TV would say of at least one of the songs 'why wasn't that on the main album instead of this other one?'.

For me her output has generally declined after 2014, just my opinion, I think '1989' was her shot to leave behind her 'Thriller' so to speak, but even at her prime, sometimes her song selection missed unfortunately, and I don't know if she has it in her anymore to be honest. Unfortunately. I find '1989' or '1989 TV' pretty fantastic, there just always seemed to be times that she left better songs on the table and went with one or two that sounded a bit more 'average' by comparison. Just IMO.

Oh yeah, follow-up, I listened to all her albums up until the latest one. I listened to a few scattered songs from it, maybe 5 or so, but knew right away it wasn't giving :lol2: . This followed on for me from 'Midnights' which was fine but didn't excite me at all. Never been tempted to relisten.

Seems like as strong as her fandom is, they're not totally able to drown out the voices saying her music's just not been that great lately, and I think the re-recordings with the 'new' vault tracks have also done a great job masking this, 'cause one can still enjoy Taylor on a 'new but also nostalgic' level. She's not just relying on new stuff to stay current, she's releasing 'old unheard' music juxtaposed with big nostalgic hits from her past, striking an unusual balance. If you're not into new Taylor, you can always choose a new spin on the old stuff instead...

So, marketing teams could learn a lot from Taylor, but I think it's kind of smoke and mirrors in her case. I think if she'd just put out her new music only, she'd have been on her way out of the spotlight by now. I don't think she'll be able to stave off the need to release another actual cultural hit (not just purely in numbers) forever, or I think the more Taylor-critical voices are going to gain more and more traction.

I predict this current cultural moment where she's concerned we may look back and say 'how did we let her get away with this cleverly marketed mediocrity for so long?' - unless yeah, she actually puts out some music with a greater amount of organic mass appeal again, like she did from especially 2008-2014..

From the poll I went with 'Fifteen.' Actually find that one really nice. It sums up Taylor's original appeal very well, it's catchy, but also sounds organic, it has a cool succinct story which sums up quite well how novelty, getting lost in the moment and gaining more perspective with time works, especially for her age at the time of writing. Like, I think if you can listen to that and not at least understand why she could've become a big deal, you're kind of a hater :lol2:
