Good Saturday morning, Thad! (*8*)

It sounds like you're having lovely weather, I envy you with the hot, muggy weather down here. I hope you have a nice holiday weekend, and I enjoy those nice garden pictures.

Thanks! I'm headed to Atlantic City tomorrow thru Thursday. September at the Jersey Shore can be the best month. I'll always remember the September I joined my parents for a day on a senior trip to Wildwood. I swam near a dolphin! I had a delicious dinner! And I got to spend time with my parents and their friends, who were delightful and showed me I could look forward to aging.

Good Sunday morning, Thad! (*8*)

I hope you're having a great time at the Philly Fringe Festival. It sounds like they have a lot of really cool stuff there and in the area.

That trip you took to the Jersey Shore sounds wonderful, getting to swim near a dolphin. And you are using your time to go to exciting places.

I'm sure you're starting to see some fall changes in your gardens, which should be quite enjoyable. We do have seasonal changes in Florida, but they're more subtle, and usually nonobvious stuff that you learn only from years of living here, like what plants bloom when, and what season certain fruits ripen.

Let us know how the Philly Fringe Festival went.

It's a lazy morning. The clouds from yesterday's,s rain are clearing. There's nothing on my agenda. I did one load of laundry yesterday, so I've got T-shirts and underwear to wear. One of my favorites, Andy Warhol inspired...

I'm surprised that the Cowsills are still performing, since half their members have passed away. I believe Susan, who was the little girl in the family, is the one who is really pushing this. I had a Boy Crush on 12 year old John. Hey, go easy on me, I was only 9 years old at the time!

Speaking of John, I saw a video interview of him a few years ago, when he was in his 50s. He grew into a big, strong, masculine, handsome man. It turned out that he wasn't performing with his siblings, because he was playing with a Beach Boys touring band. His mama didn't raise no fool!

Here is their first hit, The Rain, The Park, & Other Things, which came out in late 1967.

John Cowsill sometimes performs with his siblings. He wasn't in Atlantic City last week.

They are still very entertaining. I'd gladly hear them again.

They admit that it's bittersweet that their biggest hit, "Hair," was their last one. They expected to have more.

Good Sunday afternoon, Thad! (*8*)

I hope you had a great time at the Philly Fringe Festival. It sounds like there's a lot going on up there.

I'm enjoying those garden pics you're posting. I'll have to post more of my own here, though right now everything sort of seems to be between seasons. The spectacular stuff have all either done their thing, or they're waiting for their winter displays.

Good Saturday afternoon, Thad! (*8*)

You're going to have to fill us in on how the Philly Fringe Festival went. Sometimes those offbeat events are among the most fun things you can experience.

Good Sunday morning, Thad! (*8*)

That accident on the commuter train in Philadelphia is scary. It seems the accidents here on the local TriRail commuter trains, which run on the CSX (old Seaboard Coast Line) tracks are usually caused by people committing suicide by parking their cars on the railroad crossings. But the Brightline trains, which run on the Florida East Coast tracks, are much faster, and those accidents are caused by people thinking they can beat the train.

Thursday I was at the Fringe and saw something called "Family Portrait." The story was told largely through dance, but with some storytelling and visual aids and even roller skating. Three performers.
Earlier I saw John Miller Giltner's solo show to "Family Vacation.".It's full of humor and a lot of love, and quite a bit of angst about the death of his father.
Philly Fringe is ending soon. Just a few "leftover's shows after tonight.

Good Sunday morning, Thad! (*8*)

That Philly Fringe Festival sounds like quite an event. I believe you're going to Las Vegas to catch a couple of NHL hockey games sometime this month, if I remember correctly.

I love visiting Cleveland! Have fun. :gogirl:

Good Saturday morning, Thad! (*8*)

I hope you're having a good time in Cleveland. You said you were going to Primanti Bros. restaurant in Pittsburgh the other night. I never heard of the place, but it turns out they have two locations in Ft. Lauderdale, some 35 miles south of me. I rarely get down to Ft. Lauderdale these days. Unlike all the other Palm Beach County gays, I don't go down there every weekend to party. I wonder if they can pull my Gay Card for that.
