Even if he produces a Birth Certificate as opposed to a Certificate of Live Birth, the Birthers still won't be satisfied and will claim it is a forgery. So why bother entertaining them? That just shows them that they have the president's attention and will keep up their antics.

The document he has shown since the beginning is a legal birth certificate in the state of Hawaii. It is not some lesser document. It is simply the new format birth certificate. This has been explained long ago.

My first, second and fourth children received certificates, but my third and fifth children received certifications. Why the difference? But of course this didn't satisfy the birthers because the document released wasn't his "original" birth certificate (though it was still a birth certificate) just an updated version. But, the health dept of Hawaii has verified they also have an original birth certificate on file.

In addition, both newspapers announced his birth in 1961. So if a conspiracy existed to fake his citizenship, it started the year he was born before anyone could possibly have known he would be president.
