how about you guys.........any music......that changed your life?

Man, Bill Bruford was so hot back in the day -- did he ever come out? For all I know he was a straight boy. Fripp was so cold and clinical it didn't seem to matter, but he always made interesting music:

^ I respect Britney for covering one of the most iconic songs ever,

Love Bill and his music but he's not gay---great jazz drummer--but so not gay.

Britney Spears and Lady GaGa changed people's lives? Yet another sign that the future of society is in severe trouble. #-o

As for me, it would be this:

(Discovery by Daft Punk)

Daft Punk ain't no better, Mr. Judgemental.

Well, aside from basically creating EDM, winning dozens of awards, creating two feature-length films, scoring one of the biggest films of 2010, breaking sales records left and right, hitting the UK #1 spot for their latest single for four weeks and counting before the album was anywhere close to being released, garnering the second-most hits to their iTunes album preview in the history of the music store... Yeah, I guess you're right.

Yes....COURT AND SPARK...the masterpiece from Joni Mitchell. I have probably owned 10-15 copies of this ...I know it by heart.

SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE by Stevie Wonder. He is a brilliant songwriter and musician...my favorite male vocalist

PEARL...Janis Joplin...I was sure she was my soulmate for quite a long time

THE WALL...Pink Floyd...(I did a lot of acid..| )

LAND OF MAKE BELIVE...Chuck Mangione and Esther Satterfield...another brilliant masterpiece

Ahhh...I forgot ...

THE DUDE...Quincy Jones...love him and this is his best and one of my favorite albums ever...this song from Patti Austin is my favorite on the album but over the years they have all been my favorite

The first time I got my heart broken this song helped me..for years...still does a bit when I listen to it....helped alot learning how to let go and move on....I always wished I could just hate or blame the guy and move along but it doesn't work out that way for me....

I also thought Todd Rundgren was so strange... and lovely......and sexy....

I watched this the night it first aired.....I remember it well.

The question was 'what music changed your life?', The Fame was my answer, Lady Gaga helped me to accept myself and come out. I happen to like Daft Punk as well though, just don't see why you would think my album is of less importance than yours. What did your album do for you?

It made me human again.

"Ai No Corrida" is one of my favorite songs ever.

Two very different albums that shaped me:

Oh yeah...Ai No Corrida was the first song I fell in love with on the album...

...now I am going to dig out Hancock....it has been YEARS since I listened to it...I have thousands of LPs....

George Benson..Greatest Love Of All...I know Whitney sang it (couldn't stand her...grrrr) but Benson sang it first and his version...and Jane Oliver's version as well....did justice to the song. It was written by Linda Creed who died very young....I thought this song was a gift from her and Benson was the perfect vessel....

Jane Oliver's version...as good as Benson IMO....
