The Amazing Race 16

A non-elimination this soon? And it happens to be when Jeff and Jordan should leave. what a coincidence? You cant tell me this shit isnt rigged for these two goobers.

I can tell you that if you look back at the race the first non-elimination leg typical happens on legs 5-6 (rarely 4, last year 1) with a second in leg 7-9. Also yields and intersections tend to coincide with non-elimination legs because the producers hoep that such interactions spark tensions between groups.

A non-elim quite often happens after a yield or intersection and this is not the first time it has happened in leg 4 instead of 5 or 6, Don & MJ in TAR6 comes to mind.

I would expect a shot about keeping Jordeff and the producers playing favourites at Survivor Sucks but you know that to be in accordance with Standards and Practices, the non-elim schedule was submitted prior to the start of the race.

After letting the cabbie take them way too far before Jeff chimed in, they happened to get a lucky break - nothing more. The last couple speed bumps haven't been very time consuming so if they step it up next leg they could be ok.

and the way the ending was edited for the last ten minutes... the last two teams (weather one is J&J or not) are ALWAYS edited to make it look like they neck and neck, and this week that was SO not the case, they didn't make it look close at all. I knew right then that it was non-elimination.

IMHO there is NO WAY it's rigged, because they have to plan WELL ahead of time how many people will be on each leg in order to properly plan the tasks, set them up, let alone have that specific number of clues in each clue box, ready to go.

Well they wouldn't have a problem printing out an extra clue for the box. I don't think they would be able to plan an entire speed bump challenge in 24 hours however. Plus on TAR high profile teams (Alison from BB4, Rob and Ambah on All-Stats) have been cut early in previous seasons.

Yea i recall Allison and Rahmber getting the axe early. But Allison is not liked. And Rohmber were just so-so. But these too numbskulls are America's Sweethearts for some odd reason.

"If i can find weed in a mans crack i can find anything."

wow i forgot that he was in law enforcement and has had to conduct strip searches. That must be one of the best jobs in the world, next to overseeing the prison showers.

I believe it was actually "If I can find crack in a guys ass"

I'm so gonna miss Jeff and Jordan....I fucking love them...I was just hoping they could pass Brent and Caite...I can't stand them, she's a little whiny bitch and he isn't much better. At least Jeff and Jordan are funny and know how dumb they are....and man Jeff is just about 100x hotter then Brent.

I agree I wanted Brent and Caite to go...I'm from South Carolina...they annoy me.

Beside I like Jeff...he's hot...and makes fun of himself. I wonder if there's any almost nude screen caps from Big Brother?

Brent and Caite annoy the living hell out of me. She tries to act smart but clearly is not. At least Jordan will make fun of herself. I am surprised that anyone took the champagne tower. That seems like the most difficult task. Let's hope they go home next week.

Does it seem like to anyone else there are less 'equalizers' this year? Normally at least once an episode the groups are forced intio a pack waiting for things to open gettin on buses/planes. But it seems like this season the people who got a better flight three episodes ago are still in the lead because there's been nothing to give anyone a chance to catch up.

I was thinking the exact same thing last night, falconfan. I also mentioned to my bf during the show that there also seems to be a LOT more "objects" that are clues - like just a paper with the name of a place on it, rather than the usual "route info" tear-open clues. Makes it a little more interesting...

But yeah, I always hated the equalizers because it just didn't seem fair, but now I think we actually need a couple more than we have. I never thought I'd hear myself say that either haha

I was thinking that exact same thing for the last two episodes. Without equalizers it makes the race boring and predictable and it allows the damn cops to continue to be in first. I also can't stand the cops I hate them more than I hated the globetrotters.

I actually think it's more fair. The interesting thing about the equalizers is the same two or three strong teams would always wind up at the head of the pack after they were all jammed together. It kind of proved to me that those people where the best but this season it's just like well one team got lucky and bagged a nice flight and since has been maintaining an obnoxiously large lead and everyone just chugs along exactly where they were.

It seems to me that there is far less heated competition in AR16 than in previous seasons. Right now the cops are trying harder than the other teams but I'm confident that will change as the tasks get harder to do.

I give the brothers credit for successfully erecting the champagne pyramid since that was clearly a more difficult and a more time consuming challenge. I expect Miss SC and her boyfriend to be eliminated this week and then the lesbians the following week.

My final four to battle it out: cops, father/daughter, cowboys, brothers.

Yeah, I FULLY agree with what you're saying... what I meant was basically that i thought that I hated the equalizers, but now I realize that they really are a good thing. LOL. As you said, you can truly tell who the best teams are that way

I hate the cops too... ugh.

Thank goodness Jeff & Jordan are gone, if only Brent & Caite can follow suit. Glad to see there's an equalizer next week with more plane travels.

Anyway, here's how I'd rank 'em:
1. Team Cowboys
2. Steve & Allie
3. Team Police
4. Team Lesbians
5. Team RI Bros
6. Team Models

Yes, I have a major crush on Jet.

Cord was looking so hot tonight, I am changing which cowboy I think is hotter, but they both are really cute.

You have no idea how much I cheered at the end of tonight's episode. Team Cowboys ride on another day! Here's how'd I rank 'em now:

1. Steve & Allie, they haven't ran a subpar race yet.
2. Team Cowboys, they have to learn from this week's tragic mistake, right?
3. Team RI Bros, the smoothest leg they've ran so far.
4. Team Police, not too shabby... but the equalizer sure didn't help.
5. Team Lesbians, mistaken ridden- but still good enough.
6. Team Models, wow... the police actually agrees with them.

I could hardly believe everyone wants Brandy & Carol out. I think the only team currently on their side is RI Bros.

Also, my love for Jet just increased after this topless episode. :P
