The Amazing Race Season 15

I was also really sad to see Zev and Justin go, as one of my favourite teams.

Posted this as a response to an update/article on the LA Times website:

It was really disheartening when they realized they were missing a passport. I had a feeling they would eventually be eliminated, despite them being one of my favourite teams. They were really funny this particular episode too (Zev's reoccurring line, "I'll call your mother!" cracked me up the whole night).

No, I don't think it was fair to eliminate them without giving them enough time to look for it but in that situation, I think the producers needed a team to be eliminated, and even though Zev and Justin were given some time to search for the passport, they probably felt it was easier to just eliminate them there, rather than give extend the rules of the show and give them a few hours to try and locate it.

Besides these two awesome guys, my money's on Sam and Dan, who haven't been focused on a lot yet. With Zev and Justin losing their first place check-in, I guess that puts them first.

The race definitely will not be as enjoyable without the quirky, wonderful, and adorable pair. Sigh.


As a side-note, Zev and Justin eventually did find the passport. In their Elimination Station video, they went to the US Embassy to get a temporary passport when the people there actually had their passport (someone must have found it and gave it to the embassy). It was found at the temple where they had the monkey challenge when Z+J mistakenly went into one of the temples after misreading a clue and must've dropped it when Justin was taking out his flashlight.

It sucks that they had to go out this way. I think the rules should be changed (for future seasons) so that teams have some time to look for the passports rather than getting eliminated so easily -- plus, it would serve as good TV drama ("Will they find the passport and continue on or will they be eliminated? Dun dun dun!")
 
The one great sad moments in Amazing Race history for me. They were so endearing to me.
 
^It was unfortunate how the passport thing panned out. But I'm not too sad to see them go. I think them and the globetrotters are the biggest competition for the brothers.
 
i felt so bad for Zev and Justin too. they were one of my favorite teams.

I actually do like a lot of teams this season (unlike last season where I liked almost none) and it was unfortunate to see them go. i was wishing it was Lance/Keri Meghan/Cheyne or Mika/Canaan that lost their passport
 
12 seasons and no one loses a travel document and now 2 of the last 3 seasons it happens. (Dallas in the cab in TAR13)

Teams know that they are responsible for their passports which is why those pouches are often seen worn on one of them fulltime so that was nothing short of careless. Just like not correctly completing a task and being sent back to finish it, the maximum safe time you have to check back in at the mat is before the last team arrives so they were treated fairly. Pity cuz they were fun to watch.
 
It was sad to see them go like that, considering they were in first it is especially heartbreaking for them I'm sure. But it was fair. And I'd rather they leave now than when they got inevitably annoying later on.
 
Anything they won prior to Sunday's elim is their's to keep.

The prize from Sunday's show which was never announced will prob be shown as given to the brothers at the start of the next epi at the end of the prevous highlights blurb. Rumours suggest it might be a pair of motorcycles.
 
Brian and Ericka are so cute together, it's almost sickening. And I loved hearing one of the brothers scream "just put it in!" to the other brother. I'm such a perv.

I need to see Mika sobbing in her floaties next week!

I am so wrong but I seriously want the brothers to get it on. They so dont look like brothers. They were stupid as hell for waiting for the poker players to get a new car.

I cannot stand Cheyne. He's so weird and ugly looking. i'm sure he thinks he's really hot. He's such a douchebag with his "I can do anything" and "Unlike my girlfriend, I'm not scared to do things" Then the creep didnt want his gf to step on the pit stop mat before him.

I liked Mika but she's an idiot for coming on the show if she has a fear of heights this intense. it was kinda crazy watching Canaan try to push her ass though.
 
I love Mika and Canaan they bring the entertainment this season. The brothers are ok, I think Sam is hotter but they both look average to me. I actually think Canaan is the best looking guy this season.

I wasn't sad to see Keri and Lance go, I knew they had no chance of winning and they annoyed me.

The Globetrotters annoy me too, I know a lot people like them, but I don't they are too cocky I hope they don't win. At this point I'm rooting for Mika and Canaan even though I doubt they will win, Sam and Dan, and Tiffany and Maria I love that they pretty much stumble their way to safety every week.

Brian and Erika are cool too.

Really? Mika and Canaan are one of the teams that annoys me the most, if not THE team that has annoyed me the most. With their 'we're good Christian' claims intercut with scenes of abuse I'm surprised anyone would like them. He's a complete ass and she seems to be pretty damn pathetic.

Keri and Lance were annoying at first but once they were clearly harmless I foudn them to be more comical.

I like the Globetrotters, the brothers are OK and I feel like I should dislike the Poker Players but I just don't. I like Ms. America and her husband too, they balance well.
 
I was happy as clam to see Keri and Lance go. They were just so rude and disrespectful to people.

And I don't understand why the brothers waited for the girls either, it is not like they could have helped them.
 
Team Zebra. They are phenoms and they surely are made for each other. He is strong and sure and just a nice guy. I believe in Karma too and I think he is just super hot.

The brothers are a little lame especially the taller one because his anxiety levels just fly off the chart.

The snow challenge - wow - who knew you could have a ski area in temps of 130 degrees? But when they said dig for a small snow man I know that usually always fucks someone royally. Better to dig in snow than shit as in the past.

The bros waiting for the girl's car to arrive was a tad dumb since they put themselves in jeopardy and waiting doesn't help anyone or anything.

Amazing show, and looking to the water slide. Would I love to be the guy who travels around to different places in the world for the best challenge sites.

I think I just like them because their stupidity makes me laugh and it's entertaining. I'm not crazy about all the religious talk either but they haven't spoken about it for a while i don't think.

Team Zebra has emerged as my favorite too. Straight couples are usually so annoying on the race. The woman is typically a doormat and the guy is a pig. But these 2 seem to genuinely respect each other.

AN indoor ski slope is so cool to me. But the racers were dumb. Obviously building something you can control is much easier than a needle in a hastack type of challenge.
 
Wow, finally got to see all the hot guys shirtless!! Canaan was so hot!! Mika pissed me off so much, she couldn't go down the slide for one fucking million dollars?!? Ridiculous!!! I can't believe he forgave her ass.
 
That was so bogus. How on earth are the contestants supposed to know that time was the combination.

And then the fisrt 2 teams just automtically figured it out?


Maybe i am just dumb as nails but i dont see how you are supposed to link the time to the combination.


Maybe the watch needed batteries.

The fact that not one team was clueless screams fraud.

One team should have at least said "now what"
