The Black Panther leader that A.G. Holder let off the hook

The New Black Panthers were guilty of intimidating voters.
Eric Holder had the charges dropped.
Why?
Spin it any way you want.

Gee, another stupid thread which totally ignores the facts.

Abigail Thernstrum of the right wing American Enterprise Inst. and vice chair of the US Commission on Civil Rights, writing in the National Review says that there has only been 3 successful prosecutions in the Voting Rights Act's 45 year history, the "Panthers" did not have firearms and that after months of testimony no one has produced evidence that any voter was too scared to vote.

http://article.nationalreview.com/4...ebr-a-conservative-dissent/abigail-thernstrom

It is increasingly obvious that if the Republicans had any ideas, any constructive input, they would not have to repeatedly lie, distort and manufacture this kind of inflammatory nonsense. The only thing that the Republicans want to do is sabotage anything being done by a Democratic Administration. Al Queda - eat your heart out, the Republicans have taken up where you left off.

This vile racist panther is going to be interviewed tomorrow by Megyn Kelly.

The DOJ had already won the case, [Text: Removed by Moderator]. So obviously they did come to the conclusion that voter intimidation HAD occured. The case was dropped after they had won and were planning to go forward for sentencing.

Holder accurately predicted his very own behavior, back in February 2009, when he said that the American people are "a nation of cowards" in failing to discuss race. Yes Mr. Holder, you are indeed a coward for failing to enforce these issues because they involve race.

You don't need a firearm to intimidate someone.
Yes only 3 successful prosecutions under the voting Rights Act, But they didn't have a video as evidence .
No evidence produced that voters were too scared to vote?
Witness intimidation again, Philly has a very strong "No -Snitch" policy.
The Facts are that A black Panther stood in front of the door holding a night stick and hurled insults at white voters.
The video for context, Was taken by a college student, and he says he was Intimidated by them. Where is his Testimony?

this is all trumped up bullshit. If you want holder to get kicked out of office there is an easy way.

just ask if torture is illegal and why those who did it were never prosecuted. there are real laws there that were broken and he has not taken any action.

it will be a black eye on the nation for generations.

but this panther crap?

please get real... lets talk about some of the voter shenanigans of the republicans and that they were never prosecuted

no this thread is special because it captures two themes at once....

get the black people and obstruct the functioning of the government as much as posible so that they can make political hay out of it.

well it is common, vile, vulgar, and distasteful... every bit of it.

Don't justify bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior.

what part of trumped up bullshit is hard for you to understand?

here let me help....

meriam websters online dictionary....

Main Entry: trumped–up
Pronunciation: ˈtrəm(p)t-ˈəp
Function: adjective
Date: 1728

: fraudulently concocted : spurious <trumped–up charges>

and then....

Main Entry: 1bull·shit
Pronunciation: ˈbu̇l-ˌshit also ˈbəl-
Function: noun
Etymology: 1bull & 6bull
Date: 1914

usually vulgar : nonsense; especially : foolish insolent talk

fraudulently concocted nonsense

just like every fire that Rush and Beck try to ignite, at the end of the day this is just red meat for the radical teabaggers and the coocoo rightwingnuts to snack on to make their complete and utter loss at the polls due to gross negligence of their party for ten years feel less like they raped themselves.

well get over it.

there are many things an AG has to consider, and with the courts packed full of ridiculous cases that overburden the system, like, suing the president because they say he's not really american he has to go for the solid cases. this is not a solid case...

it is just meant to scare old white women for the upcoming election.

at some point, we all just tune out to the TRUMPED UP BULLSHIT.

Explain what's trumped up about it BP.

The DOJ had won the case and was moving on to sentencing when they dropped the charges, apparently at the order of the AG and his staff. There was no clogging up the court system here. There were other motivations at work here, and I'd be interested to know how the AG can explain his actions.

It would be interesting to read the opinions of Don Imus and Michael Richards (Kramer)about the Black Panther's remarks.
If we are to believe in equality, any hateful remarks about any different ethnic group should be subject to some sort of penalty or punishment.

Says who?

(And have you confused free market reaction to unpopular views with legal penalty?)

racism is not confined to a particular party, but lets go on the old stroll down memory lane.

Kennedy challenged dem governors as a dem president because there was rampant racism amongst the famous dixiecrats... they left for the republican party... or as Reagan once said, .... "I didn't leave them-- they left me.... in refference to the modern democratic party.

sen Byrd did the opposite. Instead of quiting the democratic party, he allowed his fellow senators and president to influence him and break from the racist past and policies.

Now I am seeing a real purge and the teabaggers are the old dixiecrat movement trying to find a new home for the hate they peddle.

Read the body of posts here by the self identifying repubs and teabaggers, and you will find an odd preocupation with race.

If they do not dislike blacks, then they fear losing power to them and race is a big part of their fear.

this thread is a prime example of the whole race baiting issue that we are going to see in this mid term ellection. these issues and posts are going to increase because they think they can get traction with older voters that tend to vote, who have a history of racial tension.

that basic fearmongering type of politics is really rather vulgar.

I decided not to answer several posts, so here are some all put together.

From your post #34, you try to compare the Bush war crimes to this Black panther yelling profanities at white people.

http://www.thefoxnation.com/new-blac...ng-another-law

This cite is from your post #35. I went through that link and read the comments. Did you? The people commenting are the violent groups threatening revolution. They are the militias forming to overthrow the government. Believing anything from this site is ridiculous. These are the people that if the civil war that they want starts, then you, if you are gay, better hide in a good place. They will be going after you along with the other minorities.

I was gonna ask who the fuck was Megan Kelly, but then I googled and find she is another fox liar. You really need to get off of Fox. They very seldom tell the truth.

In you post #40 you say they had already won the case. You care to give a cite? Maybe you can convince me you are right if I see where the DOJ won.

#41. Care to give a cite?

No [Text: Removed by Moderator] the DOJ won by default when the defendants failed to show, there was no evidence of voter intimidation. It is really laughable to pretend that voters were intimidated by a few nut cases outside the polls. At best this is a minor matter for the police.

As Abigail Thernstrom says in the National Review piece:

"Get a grip, folks. The New Black Panther Party is a lunatic fringe group that is clearly into racial theater of minor importance." http://article.nationalreview.com/4...ebr-a-conservative-dissent/abigail-thernstrom

That's good advice laika - "Get a grip"!

A matter for police? The DOJ is refusing to prosecute blacks in civil rights case. Stop marginalizing this.
