Re: Why do you like Cher ?

She is an icon, beautiful for her age, talented and a total diva survivor. Why else would any gay man like her?

Re: Why do you like Cher ?

That was a great flick. Olympia Dukakis had some good spunk in her, too!
(get your heads out of the gutter, boys!)

Why do you like Cher?

To be honest with you, I didn't even know that Cher existed until I started posting on this board. Of all the female "divas" that gay men idlize, I only knew Madonna and Britney before I came here, and frankly I would only watch Britney's videos to jack off. Why do gay men like female singers so much:confused: The idols of straight men are usually male athletes like Lebron James, Brett Favre, Federer, Fedor Emelianenko, etc.

Gay men variably idolise James, Favre, Federer and Emlianenko too... but for other reasons...

...hehe.

Re: Why do you like Cher ?

I liked her older stuff with sonny and some modern stuff. Plus I thought she was a pretty decent actress too.

She always gave me the impression she could kick your ass if she wanted to. That kind of woman and man appeals to me greatly.

Exactly my point. Why do gay men identify with female divas rather than with manly men heroes? Straight men aspire to be virile and powerful like sportsmen and certainly don't aspire to be women!

Re: Cher with Black Rose

I'm new here but my hubby is a huge CHER fan. We live in Canada and he's travelled all over to see the various concerts. Last spring it was Vegas.

Does this woman never quit? LOL!!

We must have a fortune in CHER memorbilia by now.

We're on dial-up and can't see you-tube videos unless we head out for about 5 or 6 hours to wait for it to download. Can't wait to see his face tomorrow when I show him these!

Thanks for posting them!

Cher - I Paralyze

This has always been one of my favorite albums from this woman. It was released in 1982 and flopped really bad due to lack of promotion and because people were more focused on her new acting career. I don't know if many on here know this album but its probably my second favorite album the first being Stars (1975 WB).

The title track is probably the one that stands out the most, though most favor the first track Rudy.

Re: Cher - I Paralyze

It's also a a favorite of mine-first is Stars then I'd Rather Believe in You-then I Paralyze. The title track is amazing..too bad the album flopped. It really shouldve been a big hit and I think it wouldve been if it had better promotion. "Rudy" is also good but "I Paralyze" gives me chills!

Cher Shines with No. 1 in Sixth Consecutive Decade

Diva extraordinaire Cher's latest single, "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," couldn't be titled more appropriately. Full story here and the song that catapulted to #1.

Re: Cher Shines with No. 1 in Sixth Consecutive Decade

Don't care for the song much personally, but i'm really glad it isn't another generic dance song. Her voice is still very good, better than it was in the '80s ballades, but I hear a touch of Autotune on certain notes. Booooooooooo, stop using that shit on people who don't need it.

Re: Cher Shines with No. 1 in Sixth Consecutive Decade

Although it is a good song, I don't think you can claim that she's had number ones in six consecutive decades. "Believe" hit number one in late '98 / early '99, and she hasn't had any songs to reach that far on the charts since (at least not in the 2000s). Hopefully, this song will mean another rise in her career, and another generation can be made aware of her talents.

"Celebrity News & Gossip: Discuss your favorite male celebrities. Who's hot, who's not, who gets you hot and bothered... you get the idea."

Do you know something we don't?

thanks for clearing that up, man #-o

Re: Cher Shines with No. 1 in Sixth Consecutive Decade

If you read the article, it says she is the only act to have a number one on a Billboard chart in the last six decades. That is true. In 2002, she hit number one on the Billboard dance charts twice - "Song for the Lonely" and "Different Kind of Love Song."
