After debuting @ #34 on the Hot 100, Christina Aguilera's 'Your Body' falls 30 spots coming in at #64 in its 2nd week on the chart. The music video for the track was released last week.

You know when Bionic tanked I kinda understood because Not Myself Tonight wasn't a catchy tune in my opinion, plus her image was too risky back then. But if Your Body and Lotus tank then I'll be definitively sure that RCA is a shit ass company that doesn't know what the fuck it is doing with one of its biggest stars. Ugh. I mean Your Body is so good, and the video is amazing I can't stop watching it! And it has 8 million views in less than a week! That's a lot!! They can actually convert those views into iTunes purchases if they actually get off their lazy asses and DO SOME PROMOTION.

I think like most record labels they will wait till late October/November to start heavy promotion for her album and this single. The holiday season always brings about more sales than other times of the year so it's not really worth it to push it right now. I think they're letting her exposure on The Voice and the TV show interviews keep the song afloat for now.

This might make hitting #1 hard though as many artists wait for this time of year to release new material. Ke$ha, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and One Direction all have new songs out. Kelly Clarkson will have a new song out soon too. All of them will also be releasing albums soon.

Good news for Christina fans, she is currently leading in a billboard poll against Rihanna, Ke$ha, and Taylor Swift over who has the best new single release.

I'm thinking the marketing department/cash over at RCA doesn't really include Christina...or anyone that's not Britney Spears/Ke$ha. Looking at the roster, Max Martin has a vast majority of the artists on producing lockdown so it's no surprise he swept up Aguilera...

Another artist, Alicia Keys (who has probably sold somewhere in the ballpark of Christina), has gotten fuck all for publicity as well!

If I look at how your body is doing in the charts, Im afraid there wont be more than 2 singles, and no world tour...
 
I think the covers for her debut and Back to Basics were amazing. The Back to Basics cover is so pretty.
 
To me, the Lotus cover kinda looks fanmade lol. Not the best cover in the world but whatever I don't care. I just wanna see her succeed and right now that is not happening due to the lack of promotion...
