A lil' bit off topic but don't you guys think Simon Cowell is getting a bit desperate to get huge ratings for The X Factor? Now Justin Bieber is a mentor on the show...are they serious? LOLs. I'm waiting for them to announce that the guy from that Gagnam song is gonna be a mentor too cuz he's so popular right now.

I think he is. I never liked X Factor (US) at all. I'm kind of getting a little bored of this season already. Boot camp looked very staged. But he got a Kardashian as a host and now Beiber too, it's a little sad.

I liked X Factor (UK) when it was Simon, Cheryl, Dannii, and Louis. I would so watch X Factor US if that same panel judged here. American Idol as well got boring once they broke up Simon, Paula, and Randy. Ever since they added Kara (who I did like) the show just went haywire. I don't know why they insisted on changing a format that worked just fine.

Right now I don't like any reality singing competition. The Voice gets so boring for me after the blind auditions. But the blind audition part is fun because I turn my chair around just like the judges do and see if I like the voice.

As for Christina, I hope this single picks up and the album does well because 2 bad albums in a row would be very hurtful towards her career. Let's face it Bionic bombed when compared to Back to Basics.
 
^Yeah Bionic bombed that's not a secret. And yeah 2 low selling albums in a row would be shit for her career...But I think this is her last record with the contract with RCA so she could get out of there and find a label that actually knows what to do with her. It's kinda weird that RCA is part of Sony, a company that seems to make bigger things with their artists.

I'm hoping is not the only one! And I actually think it would be so much better to have at least one performance before the album is released (not a week after), but hey at least we are getting something.
 
I was listening to some Leona Lewis today and I thought about how good Christina would sound doing some of her songs or covers. I really think Christina could sing the mess out of 'Run', 'Homeless' or even 'Bleeding Love'.

What do you guys think?

RCA seems to be a horrible record label for me. Since it is now a standalone label under Sony Music with 77 artists I think they really don't give a shit about some of their older artists. I guess once they feel like the artist has earned them enough money they just don't really care about promoting their new material and just let their contracts slowly expire away. I think this is why many artists have had conflicts with RCA. Kelly Clarkson for one during her "My December" era, and even during "All I Ever Wanted" era when the record label decided to release "Already Gone" even though she was against it. Avril Lavigne left RCA after her last album with them because they delayed the album for over a year and she "experienced a bunch of bureaucratic BS" with the label. They never even properly promoted her album.

Right now I think Alicia Keys and Christina are in the same sort of situation with RCA. They both didn't have stellar releases last time around, and their sales are about the same I'm guessing. And I don't see RCA promoting their new stuff well at all.

I didn't know any of that! Wow, thanks for the information. What a shitty label it is then...Maybe that's why Christina seems so laidback and careless lately, she probably doesn't care because she knows that after this album she's outta there and can find a better label.

Well we know that Xtina is going to be on Chelsea Lately on October 18th, and at the AMAs on November 18th, but I think we're gonna get to see her on American Idol as well:

Her last name is Handler, the name of the show is Chelsea Lately.
