The climbers who died in 2019 are memorialized here

As I've said, I can understand the curiosity. That is not what's bothering me. I do not mind providing what little verification that I am free to submit.

What has troubled me is the obsession with promoting underlying doubt, and the continued effort to smear, and undermine, the reputations of others.

It's way past time to let this rest ... in peace.

Even though HardUp started up all this nonsense again he can't be blamed for the original allegations, those can be laid squarely at the door of drive by troll ChickenGuy, thankfully he seems to have taken his leave from the site, long may it continue.

There were more than a couple of members not sure about accepting the report, again because of being burned before.

So, I don't think Chickenguy was trolling. He was merely open about his doubt, and had no incentive to withhold comment.

On the original point, it is a real shame a young man died. Not because of his death, but because of many deaths, I have a harsh view of rock climbing, even more when any one free climbs.

But we each live our lives as we choose, for the most part.

One man may risk his life in how he drives, another in how he plays, and yet another, not at all. And death comes to all three in time, regardless of their attitudes, boldness, reputations, or status. So it's pointless taking issue with the risks we see others take.

In truth, I am not concerned about the dead. They are taken care of. I'm concerned for Will's loss. BCH was everything to him, almost. How very long it will take for him to work through the tragedy and loss.

And this has been such a shitty year for social justice, it cannot but make it worse.
