Chapter 819 - B
“Poor Lat is going to be disappointed in one way and excited in another. He was so hoping you’d show him some intimacy of some type, and in the same breath said he could see the emotional electricity between the two of you. Guess he was right about that,” Greer chided.
“Seriously, Greer, you don’t need to say anything to Lat or even imply anything. That dude is just different, and I don’t need him going off in a tizzy speculating on my business,” I replied. Greer threw up his hands.
“I swear the kid has a sixth sense about everything. You don’t have to tell him anything, and yet he knows exactly what is going on. Just be careful how you talk to him as he gets everything from conversation and facial expressions. Hell, I’m guilty just walking in the door when he greets me in the mornings. Just be wary of his intuition. It’s invaluable at times and then incriminating at other times,” Greer warned, making Greg and I chuckle, but somehow believing there was some truth to what he was saying about Lat.
“Hey, I need to get started on the pre-flight inspection for my charter if you two are done with me for now,” Greg told us. I told him to have a great trip and I’d see him tomorrow before we left. He couldn’t resist hugging me one more time, which we both seemed to enjoy immensely. He shook Greer’s hand and told him to call him with anything he needed. Greer said he’d be sure and do that. Off he went. I asked Greer if he got everything he needed for the time being. He said he did so we headed out.
“What did Morty need to see you about?” I had to ask as Greer and we jumped in the Expedition. Greer smiled.
“He said he needed my help in putting together a trust for Greg in case anything happened to him. He said he should have done this ages ago but time got away from him. With his recent heart problems and now the pending sale and lease situation he asked if I could help him put something together for Greg to make sure he was well taken care of. I told him I’d help him in any way I could and he had several options he could choose from. We’re going to get together next week and I’ll show him his options. He thinks the world and all of Greg, that’s for sure. Glad he could feel that way. I guess they have both been good for each other. It’s amazing Greg turned out as well as he did given the circumstances he started out with,” Greer commented.
“That’s for sure. He’s just such a caring and thoughtful person. I guess he has Morty to thank for that given his parents threw him out of the house at age 16. Like you said, they’ve been good for each other. I suppose you’re adopting Lat kind of like Morty adopted Greg, going to put together a trust for him in your future?” I chided. I got the strangest look from Greer.
“Not hardly. I still don’t know about Lat and what he’ll be like overall. It’s all I can do to keep up with him and keep him out of trouble. I think he’s latched onto you more than me now,” Greer suggested with an evil grin.
“Hey, I’ve got my own set of guys I’m helping out and full up on compassion for any more at the moment. He’s all yours to turn around and make something out of him. That one completely confuses me to tell you the truth,” I replied.
“I think if you’d take the time to get to know him, you could do wonders with him like you’ve done with all the rest of your crew. I just think if you’d spend a night with him and fuck him senseless you could mold him into a model shareholder for SE, Josh. You just have a certain way with guys when you stick your dick inside them. Magical things happen. Look how happy Greg is today compared to yesterday. Don’t tell me you two didn’t have some sort of intense sex last night. I can remember feeling like Greg does today in days gone by,” Greer commented, catching me by surprise.
“Sometimes there is a more than just a meeting of the minds, Greer. Sometimes there is also a meeting of the hearts and sex just has a way of solidifying those emotional feelings for one another,” I suggested without admitting any guilt, although it was more than evident. Greer chuckled.
“Well, I’m glad I got that treatment in the beginning, but that’s not to say I don’t need a refresher course from time to time,” he suggested, making me chuckle. I told him I heard about his massages at the PF with Sven. Greer got embarrassed. “Some wonderful enjoyments are just hard to give up,” Greer replied. I told him more power to him, but if he wasn’t getting what he needed from Samuel, then maybe he should be looking elsewhere. He laughed, telling me he was far from that as he and Samuel, despite him making fun of him, got along great and deeply cared for one another. I told him I was happy for him.
I dropped Greer off at his office and didn’t go in, having determined there was nothing else he needed me for, at least for the time being. I also wanted to avoid another encounter with Lat if I could. I headed for the construction trailer to pick up Jasper to take him to Woody’s shop to evaluate whether he thought he’d like to set up an extension of Buzz’s architecture business here in Key West. I was wondering what Woody’s CAD tech Keith was like, and if there’d be any attraction between Jasper and him. Although I wanted for Jasper what would make him happy, living and working here, I was beginning to really admire him more and more, and would miss having him around in Uni. But, with the business we had going here, our lives were sure to interact enough for me to make sure he was happy. It seemed the more time I spent with him, the more I really appreciated him as a person and friend.
The boys were busy at work when I arrived. Buzz said they were furiously trying to get done what they had to accomplish before we left tomorrow afternoon. Buzz asked me what time I was planning on leaving. I told him that depended on him as we could leave any time. He suggested working until lunch, thinking that would get them to where they needed to be, then grabbing burgers at the PF then heading home, suggesting we’d be home by dinner. I knew he was planning to have his major discussion with Jordan once he got back, so that schedule seemed to work for me at least. I could make beer-thirty and catch everyone up on what took place here in Key West. I asked Jasper if he was ready to go check out Woody’s shop and see if he could make that work for him if he stayed here and worked. Jasper seemed somewhat excited about the idea. Buzz told him to look the place over good, but he didn’t have to do this if he was the least little bit undecided about moving here. Buzz also told him he could rent office space here for him to work out of as he didn’t have to work out of Woody’s offices. Jasper told him he’d check it out and see what made the most sense. Buzz actually gave him a hug before we left. I told Buzz, I’d make sure he was well taken care of, a statement that made Jasper chuckle, telling us both he appreciated the care and concern from us, but he was an adult and capable of making his own decisions and forging his own future. Buzz and I both patted him on the back telling him that didn’t eliminate us caring about him. He said he rather liked that anyway.
Jasper and I hopped into the Expedition and headed to Woody’s construction company. “Josh, if Buzz is okay with me working out of here, I think I’d really love to live here. It sounds like there are going to be a lot of opportunities both with SE and with all the work Woody is getting locally. The more I think about it, the more excited I get thinking of all the great opportunities here plus you can’t beat the weather,” Jasper commented. I had to smile.
“Do you have any relationships or friends back in Uni that might concern you about leaving there and moving here?” I asked. He chuckled.
“I moved to Uni to work for Buzz. I really didn’t know anyone there when I moved so it’s not like I’m leaving my lifetime home or anything. I don’t have any relatives close by or any friends other than you guys which I have to say have been great getting to know. The Sunday parties are a blast at the house, but then there’s always the PF and soon to be the PP here if you like hanging out naked so I’m not missing a whole lot there,” Jasper replied.
“How’s your relationship with Tex? Anything there developing other than friendship?” I asked. He looked at me and chuckled.
“You want to know if my sex life will suffer any, is that what you’re asking?” he asked. I chuckled. “Tex and I are just friends, Josh. There’s no us happening there ever, I can assure you. Sex with him is just better than jerking off by yourself. I mean it’s hot and all, but there’s no emotion or feeling to it. I haven’t had that since my boyfriend died. I rather doubt that I’ll ever find the love I had with him ever again, but I won’t say never. I guess it could happen. Actually, the most peaceful night I’ve had since he died was the night I spent with you, the two of us just holding one another. I felt genuinely safe and even loved, if you really want to know. That was so thoughtful of you to treat me like that. It meant a lot to me,” Jasper told me.
“Poor Lat is going to be disappointed in one way and excited in another. He was so hoping you’d show him some intimacy of some type, and in the same breath said he could see the emotional electricity between the two of you. Guess he was right about that,” Greer chided.
