Thank you. And no, it is not rational at all.

Women want equality and still want to be put on a pedestal. It is cultural conditioning or brainwashing that we often see in advertising. The man might be portrayed as a scatterbrained wimp whose balls have been snipped while his wife is the logical, sensible one in the marriage. To wit, the dishsoap commercial where the wife tells her husband to re-do the dishes.
My mother has nothing to do with it, as she did not snatch any boys away from me. And if ''Just Us BOYS'' attracts women, you can see why the pre-pubescent notion that ''girls spoil all the fun'' sticks with me, even though I've had a partner for 25 years. I have not seen a thread that IMO would be of interest to a lesbian. If a straight woman is turned on, she would be a rarity because there are so many straight or bisexual sites on which men express a sexual interest in women. The straight and bisexual posts on JUB express a sexual interest in men.
Women are individuals..and should be treated as such.
You cannot say what "women want"...it makes your premise ridiculous....unless you have personally spoken to every woman on the planet and they all agree....
...and considering your original post..I doubt many would want you as their individual or collective spokesman
Well, the name of this site is ''Just Us BOYS.'' Not exactly welcoming to gay women.
I really wasn't throwing my hat in the ring to be their spokesperson. [They get pissed off with the sexist word 'spokesman']
When you said what women want...you actually became their spokesman.
I don't know a single woman who would get angry at the term spokesman..since you are a man...but perhaps you do know women that are offended by this? If it is a woman speaking..spokeswoman is the correct term I believe.
Thankfully I did not let the name of the site put me off joining.
Oh, and for the record, in case you've never seen me before, I'm a woman, but I'm not gay.

Well it's not Just Us Old Men, and most are tolerated and even beloved, so I don't see a reason women should be excluded
This thread has provoked a lot of feigned chivalry, but this pretense is not going to turn anyone straight. The site is ''Just Us BOYS,'' the very thing that attracted us to it.
I couldn't wait for this articulate and enlightening response.
Tinku. Tinku. Tinku.
There were several straight women on JUB when I first joined back in 2004; one of them was a mod here (Zeremonie, if I remember correctly).
I quit trying. Because there are a shitload of days that my brain refuses to process things.Good god, it's just basic phonetic English pidgin with heavy use of English current Cultural signifiers/signified a la Saussure. If my broken English ass can figure it out, so can you. There's a difference between someone going "I'm not gonna bother with the effort" and pretending none of it makes sense even with a bit of trying.

Yep.
And she always had a specific gay porn star as her avatar and siggie, just don't remember who the star was.
