Democrats across the country have been dragged into the Clinton ditch of scandal, corporatism, and pay to play politics.
In a change year, it was decided that nominating the most establishment and distrusted figure to ever run for President would be a "good" idea.
The same people who apologized for Clinton's flaws in 2008 were ready to do it again, believe their own lies about their candidate, and attempt to shed any and all responsibility for their actions by creating "Safe spaces" - because the politics of identity were more important than having a real discussion, and now it just blew up in their faces.
America knows the facts about Hillary Clinton, after she refused to release her Wall street speech transcripts, smeared her main opponent in the democratic primary, thus alienating millions of true progressives, lied about who killed 4 American in Benghazi, and Clinton's foreign policy moves that resulted in one catastrophe after another, arguably leading to the rise of ISIS.
All of those things may not be what did Hillary in.
It may have been the same thing that has remained true since 2004.
Every single Senator, of both parties, Including John McCain, John Kerry and now Hillary Rodham Clinton have disgraced their parties all because they believed being a follower and not a leader would grant them presidential mojo.
But the American people learn from their mistakes.
Clinton democrats failed to learn from the same mistake, and its cost the democrats for the 2nd time. And don't look to Joe Biden, he voted for Iraq as well.
The vote to Invade Iraq set off a chain of events that propelled Donald Trump to openly slam Jeb Bush and former president George W Bush, effectively capitalizing on what the majority of Americans now know, that it was a huge blunder and that George Bush failed to keep America safe.
Hillary Clinton countered with fear-mongering, in classic neo-con style, but she has the same affliction that ended John Kerry's political career the exact same way.
Clinton, thus void of credibility on foreign policy, was easily outmaneuvered when questions of Russia, Iran and ISIS came up.
Americans knew Clinton's foreign policy positions were not authentic because they mirrored past failed president George W Bush and Trump easily linked Bush and Clinton to a record of failed policies from establishment politicians.
Instead of nomination an un-apologetic progressive who led the fight against George Bush's failed policies, democrats spent 15 months trying to minimize the impacts of Hillary's failed attempts to explain herself on Iraq, on her emails, and her cozy relationship with wall street.
On domestic policy, Hillary was even worse.
Her husband gleefully signed NAFTA. Hillary called TPP the "Gold standard"
Clinton only wanted $12 an hour minimum wage when progressives had already won $15. That is giving up without a fight and Americans want a fighter.
The Clinton's colluded with republicans to dismantle welfare.
Bill Clinton signed DOMA, the most bigoted legislation ever passed in the modern era.
Bill Clinton signed the repeal of Glass-Stegall, the biggest de-regulation of the Banks since the great depression.
The Clinton's, and sometimes Obama, have had a history of quickly folding in the face of republican politics and now they get to live with those decisions to not fight the hard battles.
The other half of democrats wanted to have that fight.
But our side lost, and now do you think the Clinton supporters will finally have the courage to admit they were wrong the entire time?
Even after debates were had, the smears and lies were told, will they apologize for electing Donald Trump? When we were 'accused' of supporting Trump?
Not only do all democrats deserve that apology, the majority of Americans who voted for Clinton may be wishing Clinton supporters got a clue as to what being accountable actually means.
I wait for that apology on behalf of every Sanders supporter who was most reprehensibly and cynically trashed on, but I don't expect to get one, and I don't know if Clinton people will learn anything from what just happened.
