The Dark Knight

His voice when he's Batman is the only thing that irked me in the last movie. It didn't bother me too much this time around.

I hope whoever the villains are in the next film that they are as interesting as The Joker rather than dull like the Scarecrow from Batman Begins and that other dude with the crap name that nobody knew. God they were boring. Realistic? Sure. But when I saw the potato sack on the Scarecrow's head I was just laughing.

Oh yeah, and Christian Bale's Batman voice is always terrible. But then, I don't like him much as Batman any way. Kind of lifeless on screen, especially compared to the talent around him.
Rhas Al Ghul is on of the main villians in the Batman universe. He and his daughter are constantly terrorizing Batman.

Anyway, Batman Begins was more to tell people of the origin of Batman beyond his parents dieing and him becoming Batman.

I wanna see some clayface and Harley. I know they won't do either but go boring with the riddler. They are trying to keep it "real"' To bad Hallie Berry ruined Catwoman. Love to see the real catwoman return. How about something no one would suspect like the brand new lesbian batwoman? she kicks ass and than licks ass.

"THE DARK KNIGHT"
KEEPS SMASHING RECORDS

Chalk up another box-office record for The Dark Knight: the biggest gross for a film on a non-holiday Monday. Following a three-day weekend in which it raked in a record $158.4 million, the Warner Bros. movie added another $24.6 million on Monday to bring its total to $182.9 million after just four days. Many analysts were betting that it would easily cross the $200-million mark by the end of Tuesday, thereby setting yet another box-office record.

The Dark Knight is just AWESOME!!!!

"Why so serious?!!"

Saw it last night.

It has been some time since I enjoyed a movie so much.

Heath was great. Damn fine acting perfomance imo. Sad that he is not here to enjoy his finest moment.

But what was with Bales voice as Batman. That was the only downer for me.

No at the end of the movie was getting carried away with that voice it sounded like he was yelling or something -very annoying

Re: "The Dark Knight" sets new box-office records

"THE DARK KNIGHT" OUTSHINES THE ENTIRE BATMAN FRANCHISE AT THE BOX OFFICE
After just six days of release in North America, the new Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" has grossed more domestically than its predecessor did in its entire run, distributor Warner Bros. Pictures said on Wednesday.

The Time Warner Inc-owned studio projected the film would sell about $17 million worth of tickets on Wednesday, taking its U.S.-Canadian total to about $221 million. It tallied $158.4 million of that sum during its first three days, setting a new opening-weekend record.

In surpassing $200 million on Tuesday, "The Dark Knight" took five days, breaking the record set in 2006 by "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," which took eight days to reach that mark.

By contrast, 2005's "Batman Begins," the first entry in the revived franchise, finished its four-month run with $205.3 million, according to tracking firm Box Office Mojo.

Re: "The Dark Knight" sets new box-office records

haha, Joker is a terrorist though. that is a very acurate name to describe the Joker.

I saw it yesterday. On the whole it was very good. In the first half it was good but didn't see what the reviwers had all been raving about, but when the second half kicked in it was immense. It got a right kick up the arse when harvey got his makeover...

I know everyone has been applauding Heath Ledger, and I admit he was excellent, I was most impressed by Aaron Eckhart's portrayal of Harvey Dent, and Maggie Gylenhaal, cause I liked her, unlike Katie fucking Holmes who I wanted to smash through a wall.

Saw it again last night and not as good as the first time, but few things are and I was at a drive-in and a few other things happened. Still very good movie, and the scenes were the joker is in the nurses uniform are probably the funniest things I've scene in a movie all year long. I will probably see it at least one more time and it will be worth it just for those scenes again.

i would be so happy if gary oldman got a best supporting actor nod.

i know its a long shot but damn. i love him as gordon.

I'm not sold on it. 1st Dead Legder does not deserve an oscar that was a very good preformance from an actor who I highly rate but looking at it he borrow from Mark Hamill/caser Rameriez for the laugh and jack Nicholson's humour although less OTT.

This film was OK for me, I still think Begins is a much better film over all. The Harvey Dent reason for turning didn't sit right although Ekhert was brillant. Bale played Wayne better this time around. Maggie J's Rachel was just as pointless as she was in begin's.

What I liked was the end, I feel I could have waiting for DVD Realese to watch it or even for it to come on TV.

I may give it another chance as with Both Ang Lee's Hulk and Kill Bill Vol. II I needed to see them twice before realsing how good they actuall were.

Probabily in a minority but it just to me was a good film. Yes it was better than X3 and Spiderman 3. But still it wasn't the best thing I have seen this year.

TOO much....TOO long......basically just TOO many things going on!
Heath's Joker was excellant and I was hoping the movie would be more about Batman/Joker's fight and not all the other stuff going on.
The Harvey Dent sub-plot was interesting but...save it for another movie!
yikes:help:

Thank God I'm not the only one.

Oldman is amazing as Gordon, and although Ledger's performance was hyped to shit the more I think about it the more I loved it because I NEVER even had to think about the fact that it was Ledger, it was simply the Joker. That right there means he did a great job, by disguising his voice and mannerisms he really did create one of the most memorable villains in years. Oldman and Ledger should both get nominated, they did wonderful despite it being a comic book movie. What else is oscar-worthy that has come out this year anyway?
