Well, it's like asking why someone doesn't like a certain color/food/wine/work of art that other people really enjoy.

It's a matter of aesthetics.

I enjoy looking at a fit male body in its natural state. I also prefer it without piercings.

I'd never insult someone with tattoos or piercings. I just don't like looking at them.

I do think as they age many people will regret their choices.

After pic 1 he starts to look ridiculous. And totally unappealing by pic 4. He looks like he's trying too hard. And not succeeding.

The problem with tatts is that they look hot when you're 25, but will start to look like shit when you're 40.

But we all love your tatts Tommy.

I've never been a fan of a full sleeve or an all-over-tattoos sort of body - in his case, you are going to lose what you can see of his musculature if that tat gets much bigger.

I think as with a lot of things, less is more might be a good approach to take with tattoos. In his case, I'd have stopped after 1, maybe 2.

For me, the tattoos in the first photo are tolerable. However, by the time I get to the fourth photo, I don't see them man anymore. I'm looking only at the tattoos.

I suppose it's like graffiti carved into the pyramids in Egypt. From a distance, you can admire the structure. Get close, though, and all you see is, "John was here".

He's beautiful, but I have found some tatted up guys very sexy lately.

I think a couple of tattoos are sexy, but all over sleeve tats and chest, back etc are a bit of a turn off.

I also hate to see guys with their intitials tattooed to the side of their neck, or girls with them at the bottom of their back!

Is this incase they forget what their name is when wrecked, or so that the person they are humping can remember who their shagging?

I know a cute 45 year old that look 25. So I'm sure 40 year old can still look good on tattoo. Me, I dont have none. LOL

I might get it on my back but small cute name or something. But I might not consider it.

HOW ABOUT BARNEY TATTOO!!!!!!!

i consider tattoos bod art, and like all art there is some i like and some i don't. i have 8 tattoos and i have not heard any one tell me they are ugly and they all have spiritual significance to me.

I'm fine with them until the last pic. The one where his arm is already covered is pretty borderline to me.
Tattoos on a good body do look nice, I don't hate tattoos at all. But if they cover *that* much skin, I don't like them anymore. If you want to have big tattoos also use big shapes/patterns with enough room for "skin" in them (see attachment for an example).

To each his own. I don't like ANY tattoo's but I don't think any less of someone who chooses to have them. Their body, their decision, so it doesn't matter what I think. However, I have known several guys who got tattoo's when they were younger and now regret it.

>>>if you dont' like it there are plenty of men who aren't tattooed for you to look at.

They're becoming harder to find. :) That's fine, though. I'm not in charge of the whims of fashion. If people want to do things to themselves that I personally don't find interesting/compelling/attractive, that's totally cool. Their desire to do it totally outstrips my desire for eye candy.

I'm sorry, but pictures 3 and 4 have him looking a mess. He should have stopped after the first couple. Like they say: less is more. I would add: enough is enough, and too much is too much.

Oh, I never answered the question. When should he have stopped? When he was happy. And if he's still not happy, he should go back and get more work done.

Tattoos and piercings are not for me.

I remember around the age when we could go and get them, all my friends got as many tattoos as they could afford and pierced their noses and lips. When I asked them why they told me 'because it makes us unique'. That made no sense to me because they all had similar tattoos in the same place and all the same piercings. I was the only unique one (in my group of friends at the time) with no tattoos and no piercings.

HOW ABOUT BARNEY TATTOO!!!!!!!

do it. lol

and i like tattoos and dont mind guys with them, i actually think its attractive esp if its tastefully done. i have one on my hip and i dont care when i get older how it looks i dont plan to be old anyway.

Tatts are subjective. I have four and I love my ink, they're all black as I have very pale skin so they contrast well. I don't much care for colours but there are plenty of people who would consider black dull. I also prefer clean lines and distinct designs, whereas some I know are going full yakuza tattwork. It's to each his own and if you don't like them you don't have to have them.
