Some worrisome facts are coming out about Trump's little war games. He didn't listen to intelligence experts who said that Iran did not have a nuclear weapon. He didn't bring in national security experts for a debate on the pros/cons of military action. He didn't go to Congress for authorization and he didn't inform Democratic leadership in Congress of what he planned to do.

Knowing he excluded Tulsi Gabbard from the planning sessions was all anyone needs to know.

The "cabinet" is a faux cabinet. They are pretty much window dressing as spoilers for Defense, Education, Health, the Environment, etc.

Trump's real Star Chamber remains the likes of L. Loomis, Steve Bannon, and other experts like My Pillow and Mike Huckabee.

This “war” is based on the idea that Iran having nuclear weapons is an existential threat to the survival of the state of Israel. For those of us who grew up in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s when both Russia and the US had thousands of ICBMs pointed at each other it was the concept of M.A.D. that kept us safe on both sides and it was a screaming success.

Today one country claims another country will be an existential threat should they even possess a single nuclear weapon even though the country under threat has many more than one. If that kind of thinking predominated back during the Cold War there is a fair chance most of us wouldn’t be here today.

Only a paranoid individual would call the Iranians an existential threat to any country. Basing your policy on a belief that a country of 90 million people would commit national suicide is absurd.
