The expanding Israel-Hamas war

What I was referring to was that the process of removal would end up a humanitarian disaster, probably requiring forcible eviction, and no matter how the rest of the Muslim world might feel about Palestinians in their own countries, there would be consequences for whoever participated in that. It would be, quite literally, Biblical.
This will likely be the spark that starts the next round of war in the middle east.

Lest anyone give the Arabs the benefit of the doubt, the Arabs don't want a free Palestine for moral reasons. They want a free Palestine so that they have a place send all the Palestinian refugees that have been in their countries since 1947.

Genocide.

It is going to be a lot more difficult to summon pity for Israel when the reckoning finally comes.

Two Israeli embassy staffers were assassinated in DC: CNN article on assassinations

One expects Trump to defund the State Department for not doing more to protect them from anti=Semitists.

The Israelis have labeled this as an antisemitic act but clearly it is not, they were not shot because they were Jews they were shot because of the murderous policies of the state of Israel which, one presumes, they fully support.

It may come out later that these weren't innocent embassy employees. But for the time being, it's a stupid act of terrorism.

The shooting happened at a fundraiser that was attended by some pretty big names in the APIC and AJC. If someone in the pro-Palestinian movement were looking to target the people with power, they would have picked more high-profile targets.

This shooter was an amateur and not even a useful idiot.

However, this will dominate the news for a few days and will likely to inspire copycats.

What is disgusting is Israel trying to use history as a 'cloak of invisibility' for its current genocide.

They know what they are doing. They are all as complicit as the Germans in WWII who ignored the Holocaust.

Israel is degrading and diminishing the horrors of WWII against the Jews every day by their actions.

I predict the outcome will be that the rest of the world starts to take a more 'So What' attitude about the Holocaust as
Israel persists in their evil.

I did find it a bit rich this morning when the ADL propaganda shop was out in force showing attractive pictures of the two murdered embassy employees, talking about how they were getting married, etc.

Meanwhile, the State of Israel is allowing relief food, water and medicine to spoil offshore while they blockade Gaza, starving 2 MILLION people and causing the deaths of thousands of children.

It is really hard to have sympathy over the deaths of two people when the State of Israel is committing the same kind genocidal atrocities that led to the creation of Israel after World War II.

So tired of the attempts to create equivalency by Israel.

The vast majority of people in Gaza had fuck all to do with the raids and abductions.

But we have been required to accept that the wholesale slaughter of tens or even hundreds of thousands of Palestinians is somehow equivalent... 1000 eys for one eye...

I have to say that I would turn my back on any future attacks on Israel or even the destruction of the state.

It has lost any moral legitimacy.

The world isn't even paying attention any more.

But yeah...one day, the history books will hopefully record this genocide and remark on the absolute and utter savagery and cruelty of it.

The ADL has been on a press barrage this morning because of the horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado on 8 Jewish protestors.

Meanwhile in Gaza, after weeks of food and water embargoes on Gaza, Israel allowed some aid into Gaza.

Then rockets and gunfire killed 50 Gazans and injured hundreds of Palestinians on their way to get the food.

Israel says, "It wasn't our drones, warships or soldiers!".

More than 50 people were killed and scores were wounded on Sunday after an attack near a food aid distribution center in the Gaza Strip, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry and multiple witnesses. The Israeli military denied claims that its soldiers were involved.

The people were on their way to receive food when they were fired at around 1,000 yards from an aid site in Rafah run by an Israel-backed foundation, witnesses told the Associated Press.

"There was fire from all directions, from naval warships, from tanks and drones," said Amr Abu Teiba, who was in the crowd.

He said he saw at least 10 bodies with gunshot wounds and several other wounded people, including women. People used carts to ferry the dead and wounded to the field hospital. "The scene was horrible," he said.

Meanwhile, we're supposed to believe that "anti-semitism" on college campuses is the problem, while Trump's White Christian Nationalist army chants "Jews will not replace us".

No one in the ADL gives a shit about Palestinian Children and other civilians.

There is a persistent campaign to equate the kidnapping of Israelis with the deaths of tens of thousands and the literal destruction of the entire Gaza strip.

Most won't even ask or care what drove the terrorist in Boulder.

The United States and the world has so utterly turned their backs on Gaza that they don't even pay attention to what is happening there...the interest is all focused on stopping pro-Palestinian protests, equating everything with anti-semitism and doing nothing at the diplomatic level to stop the genocide.

We've seen all this before.

It sickens me that I am alive to see it all now.

I saw an interview over the weekend with a journalist who had been inside Gaza. She made the point that Israel is keeping western journalists out of Gaza because they know that video of what has been done in Gaza would likely turn American sentiment against Israel.

She said something that has kind of stuck with me. She said that Americans are shocked by some of the still images that are being published in the western press. What Americans don't realize is that they are looking at a 90-120 degree angle but they cannot envision that the destruction is 360 degrees.

This is a picture of Gaza in Oct, 2023:

This is a picture from Gaza from this week. This was the last functioning dialysis center in all of Gaza.

This is Gaza City, which had 600,000 people living in it and had the only functioning sea port in Gaza.

I've only ever worked in places where we battled malnutrition in children; fortunately, I've never seen children who were dying from mass starvation. I certainly never thought I would see pictures of children starving to death in a place like Gaza.

CNN has a report out on their website confirming what we already knew: Israeli soldiers fired upon and killed Gazans who were at an aid site to get food and water. The investigation said that machine gun fire originated with IDF soldiers, which the IDF has been denying for the past week. They killed 31 unarmed people and wounded dozens of others.

Israel has been blockading Gaza for the past 3 months, preventing food, water and medicine from entering Gaza. Food shipments from the US and UN have been rotting on ships in the Mediterranean because Israel is not allowing them through. Sunday's shooting at an aid center at 5AM in the morning was the first time that food and water had been available in months.

More than a dozen eyewitnesses, including those wounded in the attack, said Israeli troops shot at crowds in volleys of gunfire that occurred sporadically through the early hours of Sunday morning. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the US and Israeli-backed aid initiative that runs the site, said that Israeli forces were operating in the area during the same period.

Multiple videos geolocated by CNN place the gunfire near a roundabout where hundreds of Palestinians had gathered about half a mile (800 meters) away from the militarized aid site in Tel al-Sultan in Rafah. The designated route to the site along the coast, Al-Rasheed Street, is in an area under the Israeli military’s control and Israeli troops operate at a base nearby.

I can help but think that when Trump suggested that the population of Gaza be removed and the land developed for other purposes the Israelis were paying attention. The strategy seems to be push them into crowded ghettos and such things as food and water would be restricted in an effort to get them to leave. They should know from their own long history that the only times Jews immigrated they were forced to by those in power. If you wish to engage in this nasty business you must have the strength of your convictions and the Israelis clearly do not. The Nazi’s were a stain on history but they had the strength of their convictions.

It was their plan all along.

Turn Gaza into beachfront real estate.

But the blood that saturates Gaza now will only curse every developer and Israeli occupier who builds there.

They will hear the howls of the innocent forever.

At this point, if they can just get the last of the survivors out of this charnel house...I can only hope that it is soiled and despoiled with an atomic weapon that will make it uninhabitable by anyone for a thousand years.

The idea of Trump and his crew...or some other Israeli developer obliterating their genocide with beachfront condos and hotels is as abhorrent to me as the rrrXXXZain erasure of their crimes in Mariupol only a hundred thousand times worse.

And now Israel has attacked Iran.

It is almost like clockwork that Israel, with the US behind it, attacks Iran's nuclear facilities every decade or so to degrade Iran's capability to produce atomic weapons.

So when Iran retaliates (which they will)...
And in particular when they break out the nukes (the ones they already secretly built, and have have stashed safely away from their "nuclear facilities"), which city in Israel will be the first to go bye-bye?
Will they go for the capital? Or maybe something closer to a border & possibly easier to 'hit'??

When Iran had Hamas and Hezbollah on either side of Israel they were scary, now that that threat is mostly gone Iran ain’t that scary anymore. They do not have the ability to project power and unless they are suicidal having a nuke would change nothing.
