On Topic Discussion The Eyes Have It!

It's not my thread, so it's not my call, but I really feel that photo editing and makeup should be disqualified.

Drawing beautiful eyes and having beautiful eyes are entirely different topics.

But, good luck finding any photos of beautiful eyes that haven't been enhanced one way or another.

No argument here.

My OP was a call for close-up photos of people with remarkable eyes. Just as in the real world, people with makeup sometimes stand out for their eye makeup. This has been particularly true for androgynous comedians, actors, and musicians. So, I wouldn't say they can't be remarkable.

But, I don't understand the long-shots where even eye color is not evident. It's still about the eyes, whether the person is sexy or not, young or old, beatific or benighted, and from every walk of life.

It's not my thread really, but I wanted to have a place to return to for all of us whenever a face photo deserves sharing.

Yul Brynner, cast in so many roles in part because his scowl projected a menace that was spot on for cruel kings and emperors, shown here as a young man with a mane, and as intense as Rasputin:

Shown here in makeup as Ramses II (the Great):

Notice the effect of his enhanced, sculpted eyebrows. Additionally, he is wearing concealer to rid his lower eyelids of the dark color. Yet, this is how we "know" Yul.

Hit it out of the park with that one. His guns are a little too big, but even his tats look well laid out.

And his eyes, are marvelous. Do you think that is their natural color, or is he wearing tinted contacts? His complexion is dark, and his facial bones suggest mixed race or Arab, neither which would likely be grey or blue.

Very handsome man.

And, look at all the shoes on the bookshelfs!

I'm falling in love . . .
You'll need a ticket to Germany, or Bangkok, or Morocco. The model is 31-yr-old Alex Koch, and he's apparently straight, unless you count him being in love with himself, as Instagram demonstrates. He had a hashtag Cologne in one of his posts, and I don't think it meant parfum.

A hot bod named Koch. The irony.

At least he has a good sense of humor:

Thanks. One more proof that random shots work better sometimes. Happy to have hit it right this time. Heheh Honestly, I have no idea why his eyes are like that. Could be the lenses or filters. Given we have discovered he is a model, maybe they are realistic as that.

P.S. Shots - Random attempts to google pictures.

I've never gotten the fascination with the Mona Lisa. Her gaze doesn't evoke any question from my mind. She simply looks bland, emotionless, and neither beautiful nor homely, just plain.

The lack of eyelashes or insinuation of them gives her an almost ill effect, and her veiled hair has the effect of making her less feminine in a way.

At the time the painting was different than anything that was being done. It was a first, especially the smile. There’s also the mystery of who it is, and the history of theft, and the artist himself. It is also less vibrant that it was originally.
