The Heroes: Season 1 Part 2 Thread

That was probably my favorite episode yet, which is slightly surprising because it didn't have my favorite character. But, wow what an episode. Finding out that HRG was partners with Claude, Bennet becoming more on the good side of ambiguity, being introduced to one of his higher ups, then the amazing ending with her going off with the Haitian and HRG having his memory wiped. Also the added fact that the Haitian finally spoke again, and yes next week looks amazing, the Simone scene, and finally seeing Linderman.

The questions I have right now are:

1. What happened to Hana? she just sent Matt and Ted to hold HRG hostage and didn't even help them?
2. What will happen to Matt?
3. Who was Claude protecting? I hope it's something slightly unsuspected.
4. Where was Claire going?

I'm pretty sure some of them are going to be answered fairly soon, but others will probably take a while.

PS I belive the creator has said that Sylar will be around at least till season 2.

Join the club of people who love this episode the most, lol.

To tackle some of your questions:

1) I asked the same thing. And in the scene where Matt and Ted were discussing looking over Mr. Bennet's computer, I definitely felt they could have used her. I don't know the extent of her powers but at the very least she could have been there. They better explain why she wasn't.

2) I want to know as well. This has to be something we'll find out fairly quickly since Matt is probably becoming a lot of people's favorite hero. Eric Robert's loves those bad guy roles. I'm afraid of what'll become of Matt, lol. Hopefully he won't be 'turned' to their side, whatever it is.

3) This show has let me down once in the shock department (having Nathan turn out to be Claire's father, as we all pretty much guessed) so I wouldnt put it past them to say he was protecting one of the heroes we already know. But they seem to know what they're doing. I hope to be surprised as well.

4)We don't know but hopefully New York. I want to say for sure that's where she's going, but if Simone turns out to really be dead next week, then we can discount the total validity of Peter's dream entirely, which would mean there's no guarantee that's where she's headed.

Anybody got anything else? I can go all day, lol.

In regards to Hanna, if you don't read the Graphic Novels on NBC.com:

http://www.nbc.com/heroes/novels

Then you're missing a lot of good side story.

Hana went to Las Vegas to find HRG's boss, as thats where she tracked the messages from.

Considering Linderman is going to be introduced next episode, (and I do hope these rumours about Malcom Mcdowell playing Linderman are true, cause he ROCKS!), and Linderman is based in Vegas...It wouldn't be hard to believe that Linderman is indeed HRG's boss, or rather boss of "the company".

As for Matt, he's probably going to be replacing the Haitian as HRG's right hand man in the company...Most likely, considering he has no job anymore and will probably say yes for the money...And for the fact that he understands Bennet a bit more now and why he does what he does.

As for Bennet and Claire...

I don't believe the Haitian took ALL memory of Claire, just the memory of her powers and the plan for the Haitian to take her away.

Bennet will still remember Claire, and will probably still remember seeing her walk out of the house after the scuffle with Ted. But all memory about her power before that, as well as the plan for the Haitian to take Claire away will be gone.

And for those who still don't get why Bennet got shot, listen to what the Haitian says: There must be no doubt about your father.

This company kills those who double cross them, Bennet did by protecting Claire. If he just said, Claire got away...They wouldn't believe him. By getting shot, it looks like the Haitian surprised him, took Claire and the car and left him out there to die.

This way, the company should buy the idea that the Haitian was the one protecting Claire.

In my opinion at least.

Thanks for the update about Hana Reaper. Another thing I forgot to mention was seeing MR. Nakamura and little Hiro wich makes me ask. How much does he know about Hiro?

great episode last night!!!! I love this show! I loved when Claire was all burned up coming from the house. But Eric Roberts?! Not a fan of his at all.

Thanks Reaper. That clears up so much more than I thought I already knew.

I don't read the comics because I listen to one of the podcasts and they mention that there are minor and sometimes major spoilers in the comics and I'd rather avoid as many spoilers as possible. It's unfortunate, because having the knowledge of Hana being in Las Vegas would have at least answered one question from last night.

Lol, I turned into a little bitch when I saw this week's episode, especially towards the end... lol.. here come the waterworks.

I want to have Claire's babies. I know I've said it before, but Hayden is a absolutely fantastic actress. When she came out of the house I was like  Did somebody order Claire extra crispy??

Phenomenal. Just phenomenal. Love this show with every passing episode!

And I agree with the HOLY SHIT moment with Simone in the preview for next week.

What the hell is that?!? MORE heroes coming out?

Did anyone else think that "the invisible man" (forgot his name), looked really old without the facial hair? Just a little observation. And what's going to be the connection between Hiro's dad and Lindernman?
Wow great show.

I did MoMo and if he hadn't had that British accent I wouldn't have even thought them to be the same actor.

The new trailer makes it look like the writers are FINALLY shifting all this into high gear - sylar is captive, Hiro looks to finally gain possession of his sword, Jessica gets a beat down by Nathan's brother and it seems more will happen - and I am glad for it. But I am curious as to why the writers decided for Hiro to get the sword now, after they said that storyline would not come into place until next season. Enough people complained about nothing much happening so they decided to shift it into gear perhaps ?
And on the other angle, how is the nikki/jessica arc holding up in the US ? Is jessica asserting herself more, or is Nikki finally growing some balls and wrestling control back at all ?

I've never really cared for Simone...Dunno why, just something about her makes me indifferent towards her.

The cool thing is, unless they were doing clever little edits, it looks like my man HRG/Mr. Bennet will be with Issac when Simone comes to. Which makes sense as Issac would probably call Bennet to help clean up the mess he just made by going after Peter...Well, technically Peter went after Issac.

I DO hope that Malcolm McDowell:

Is cast as Linderman...Anyone who's ever seen "A Clockwork Orange" knows why.

But yes...

I'm curious as to who this new woman is working at the "Company" with Bennet and Thompson. The doctor at near the end of Company Man, the one Thompson says is:
"Going to help us clean up this mess you made."

I'm just curious what she can do, as she is "one of them."

But yes...I get shivers just thinking about this show...lol.

As to "spoilers" from the Comics...

There aren't really any. They just fill in little gaps, like where Hana was during the Company Episode, and how Sylar was still in his cell after what happened with Eden.

The only real spoilers so far have been around Sylar. (Oh, and for those wondering about it: They confirmed in the comics that Sylar WAS the one freezing people in the earlier episodes, so he can project/create ice.)

I don't think the online graphic novels really spoil anything. They just provide backstory and additional story points, and additional things to speculate about. For example, after reading the recent one that corresponds to "Company Man", I think that Claude was hiding Claire's mother, and that's why HRG had to kill him.

Re: Chris Eccleston looking older without the beard: I have to say I disagree, I think he looked younger without the beard, though his hair did make him look dated, but it was a flashback. I am also used to him without a beard from the first season of Dr. Who.

Re: Linderman : I really do hope that Malcolm McDowell was cast as Linderman. He'd be perfect since he always plays great villains.

Re: Hiro and his sword: I don't think Hiro is going to get his sword as easily as the preview makes it seem. I bet your Linderman or his goons will make it harder.

Re: Simone and her part in the preview: I'm pretty sure she is going to die in the episode, according to an interview with Tim Kring, the creator. In the preview it seems that HRG is in the room with Isaac when he has that vision. My theory is that it's a vision caused by the new chick they introduced at the end of "Company Man". her powers are supposedly of a "temptress". She's probably tailing or working with HRG.

And thats all I've got at the moment.

This is another message to all my Canadian friends!

Global is yet again, showing NEXT MONDAY's episode THIS SUNDAY.

I just found out that after next weeks' episode "Parasite", there will be a five week hiatus for Heroes!!!

I hope it's five weeks and not the 7 I've heard about.

Meanwhile I just read a spoiler regarding Simone on accident.

(Highlight to be spoiled)

Feb.19 is when Simone is shot, Mar. 5 is when she actually dies

No I'm not kidding.
I just found out from reading the NBC forums, and you can kind of tell from the way the narrator for the previews says "This is it, The episode that will lead you to the final chapters".

it kind of feels like they're insinuating a break.
I'm pretty sure it's because they haven't finished filming the episodes. I think they aren't finished filming untill end of March.
