It's March Sweeps for the main 4 networks.
There's no such thing as March Sweeps. There's November, February, and May Sweeps. It's when the networks pull out all of the stops to bring in ratings and therefore, bring in advertisers. With shows like this, the networks blow their budgets making them as good as possible.
Also, it seems like NBC, at least, is trying to reduce the number of repeats they show for their programs this season. They only have 13-24 episodes (22 is standard) of each of their shows, so in order to NOT show repeats, the shows have to go on hiatus from time to time. ER is doing the same thing right now.
I don't think the hiatus is coming...
I think the Season Finale is.
If I remember correctly, Episode 23 will be the last episode of this season. Then comes the long break with no new episodes until season two rolls around.
There's also a rumour going around that Season Two will be VERY different in terms of characters, villains and situtations. There's been insinuations, but nothing confirmed, that season two will focus on an entirely new group of heroes and their situations.
Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, but if it is, I'm sure that certain characters would have to be held over for the sake of the story. (Such as Hiro's father, Mr. Bennet/HRG, and anyone else who still works for the "Company".)
But, who knows. Hopefully it's not true.
That's kinda a cool idea to have new heroes every season. I could get into that. Though Claire seems to be turning into the new Buffy. They may have to carry her over.I don't think the hiatus is coming...

Oh.....my......god.....
I cannot speak. One of the top three episodes by far of the season. A big middle finger to NBC for making us wait until April 23rd.
Unbelievable. This show just gets better and better. I'll comment later. I have to breathe, or get a drink, or something.
OH AND - GOOD CALL REAPER on Malcolm McDowell!!
OMG is totally right. Is it just me or does it seem like each new episode of Heroes is better than the one before it?
NBC deserves more than a big middle finger for that long ass wait. Especailly given all the scandalous promo shots we got (Claire as a brunette still yummy!) They should really consider adopting a 24 or LOST type scheduele for next season.
No big review yet, I'm still tripping out like you. But I will comment on some things I noticed.
This episode featured nearly every character that we've been introduced to that's still alive in the series.
Also, for all you gamers, Jessica and Micah were playing a PS3 game called Heavenly Sword that won't be out until this summer. Boy was it sweet to see it in action.
Also how sweet was the Spiderman 3 promo?
AHHH, let me go calm down, lol.
PS-Yes Reaper, good call on naming Linderman. The first thing I thought 'Reaper was right!' the second thing I thought 'god, he was right' lol.
Woo! I was thought of during Heroes!
I wish I could take all the credit, but the rumour been kicked around for a long time before I posted it here...Just simply let all my fellow JUBers into the loop.
And, since you're all collecting your thoughts, I have a day on you allthanks to Global (A Canadian TV station) pushing Heroes to sunday night so they can show The Black Donnellys on Monday.
But itwas a great episode...
I'm nervous as hell to find out what's going to happen to Mr. Bennet/HRG considering the predicament he just got himself into...
The new power was unexpected, somehow I just didn't see a morpher entering the picture...
Sylar + pissed off Mohinder = GREAT SCENES...Watching Mohinder take that tuning fork to Sylar's ears...Wow, simply great...
And of course, Linderman. You got a love a figure so imposing off screen that everyone is afraid of...To be a rather old man who loves Pot Pies. Greatest way to make a character more evil: Make him look friendly when you first introduce him. That way, when he goes to his badass self...It's more delightful.
And of course...Peter....
Should be interesting to see what happens there..
Someone mentioned that Nikki is finally regaining some power over jessica. How is that shaping up plot wise, and is Jessica finally regretting becoming a hit woman ? I'm asking 'cause she is my fave character and personally I feel her development will have the biggest payoff come the final confrontation in the season finale, as the ones that take the most time to develope on tv of film normally have the bigger pay off for the viewers who invest in them.
