Somebody was too busy watching Winnie the pooh for 8 years of Bush to even have the audacity to use the term "sore winner" about Democrats.

Yeah, some people mistake ungracious (which I proudly admit to) with sore. The only way I could be a sore winner is if I've had a particularly successful and wild night.

A quarter of the number of people there that were there four years ago, the seats were cleared in a matter of minutes, hardly anyone on the side of the road except very close to the WH. Want any other reasons?

This was an amazing day. I caught myself singing along with our countries cherished songs. I thought all of the performers did an awesome job. This isn't the top forty. This is our country. I stood and sang the national anthem with the ceremony. Do you know the words and do you sing along as well? I was a bit embarrassed by the crooked handed salute of one of my brothers-in-arms. Only a bit though.

The thing that gives me an almost euphoric sensation is the idea that such immense power is transferred during this ceremony regularly, peacefully. It is truly an inspiration. Thank you all for mentioning the historic aspects of the Stonewall mention. I listened to the entire speech but I allowed it to wash over me instead of trying to analyze it.

I chuckled as I watched VP Biden after kissing his wife, his son's wife, and then his son, each of them on the cheek; He then approached the President. I could almost hear Obama saying "Don't kiss me bro" as Biden leaned in for a hug.

The cadence of each of their oaths was strained. I have taken and administered hundreds of oaths. You must practice if it is to be in front of a huge audience. Cadence is key.

The limo was impressive. I have seen it in a detailed show previously. It is an amazing machine. I think they said it gets ~8mpg. However, seeing it up close reminded me of how sturdy they build such a protected ride.

It still gives me goosebumps and makes my heart swell every time I hear that oath administered. It is not just an oath. They are not just words. He is merely a President. Yes merely a President. We all take that oath to defend the nation and the document which guides its course. That oath and that document is us. I hope we have bled enough for it in this generation. I sincerely hope we can move on. Move forward.
 
What a great, smaller inauguration appropriate to a second term and to get straight to work for the challenges of our times. I am proud to have voted for a president who stands for the ideals of inclusion, equality, and innovation for the future. There wasn't a single principle he stated in his speech that I disagreed with.

And wow!

For the first time in American history, President Obama singled out our gay community and told the nation that they will never be equal until they recognize us as equal citizens. That was a huge gesture. That was a defining moment in our civil rights history, and I wish some of you would have acknowledged that more, than harp on your disagreements with a political party. You have no idea just how significant that moment was to our civil rights history.

Indeed. When it comes down to it, all of us want to be recognized equally under the law. I will applaud any Democrat or Republican who stands up for us, even when it is unpopular to do so. In the end, we will have equality, but it will only come sooner by those leaders who will stand up with courage and conviction for us.

Coulda been man enough to not precede it with a full day of vomiting Obamahate, but I guess it's like the beginning writers - 50 000 words of garbage that have to be written out before the actual quality starts.
