You know with the passing of Steve Jobbs and Tim Cook taking over as CEO, I thought this would be a new chapter of things to come from apple. Apparently they still want to pull this BS and introduce slight variations on their former products and release it as something revolutionary just to make a buck *cough iPad2 *cough.
They always try to make it seem revolutionary too, like they've changed the market forever with their newest product. Im disappointed in this, I thought they would stop their old ways and give us an actual NEW product.... guess not.
 
I'm not surprised. It's like the 3G to 3GS. They only overhaul a redesign every 2 years. It is too soon to release an entirely new design of iPhone in one year's time since iPhone 4.

Just wait one more year for the iPhone 5 to be released with 4G bandwidth.
 
I'm disappointed about no show of IPhone 5, and will wait till that comes out. But omg at Siri! That was what excited me the most. I mean if it does what its meant to then that alone is a major upgrade. Not worth upgrading early for but still a nice thing if you need a new phone lol.
 
Sheeple and investors realized that Apple is just milking customers based on their stupidity which they now realized and it is why their stock is down about 20%.

No kidding. It's one thing for Apple to release a slightly upgraded phone, but quite another to hold a big presentation like this when they KNOW everyone will be disappointed at the lack of a 5th version.

I guess it's an opportunity for insider buying and others to pick up Apple stock at a discount. What a wate of time this way today.

Apple doesn't expect iPhone 4 users to upgrade to the 4S. They expect gen 3 and new iPhone users to.

I've been loving and buying Macs regularly for 12 years now. Today's release is right in line with what I thought it would be.

No disrespect but you clearly have low expectations. Apple has for months hinted at an iPhone 5, not some cheap parlor trick meant to skim us for every penny we have.

It is heresy for an Apple user not to have the latest version of anything Apple. Even if that means spending a lot of money for very incremental changes.

I don't understand why people who have iphone 4 needs to get a new phone so quickly? When i brought my ipad a few months later ipad2 came out i am still happy with number 1 and all the new ipad had it was thinner and faster. People will get iphone 4s 5 whatever its called and iphone6 will come out.
 
This goes to illustrate my point I made a while back ago:

Apple is on the decline, and they're going to milk us for all our worth.
 
It's real easy, if you don't want it, don't buy it, lol. I have the 3GS and have used it about 2.5 years so I will be upgrading to 4S and when they release the 5GS, I will get it it, lol. Despite all the fuss, sales will still go thru the roof.

When has apple told anyone anything. Why would they reveal their plans so competitors can try to get in on the action. I have never known Apple to announce any of the phones no more than a couple of weeks at most ahead of time, everything is else is just "insiders" who claim to know things (to get paid) and speculations based on sale of parts around the world.

No kidding. I'm glad I didn't hold out for the iPhone 5 like my friends told me to. I think I can manage without the little upgrades and just get me a sticker. :lol: I definitely agree with lucky7 too. I mean, people were anticipating it, so instead of having people hold out, just tell people. Most people will still choose the iPhone4 over the S since it will be more. They are predicting normal sales for an iPhone launch, but I HIGHLY doubt that. Most people who have the iPhone 4 will most likely not buy the new one like several people do everytime they release one.
