The iPhone 4S?! WTF?!?

The thing is.. why buy 4S if you can just wait a year or less for 5??

For me -- it is because I am tired of waiting...

I waited for YEARS until Verizon finally started selling them -- and THEN the phone didn't allow internet functionality while using the phone part (like AT&T does) -- so, I kept waiting...

I've already bought the Bose Sound Dock and accessorial for my truck stereo system...

I'm disappointed that THIS phone STILL doesn't allow the internet with phone usage -- but, the new design that MIGHT come out next year may not fit the accessories I've already purchased... ](*,)

So -- I went ahead and ordered one -- and HOPE that I'll be SUPER HAPPY with it!!! ..|

:):):)

I have an iPhone 3GS and I'm sure the 4S doesn't do that much more. I'm holding off until there are truly revolutionary changes. Until then, my phone works fine and I am not strapped to a long-term contract.

I am so in your camp!

The revolution was supposed to be a much bigger screen, the complete elimination of the Home button, and the addition of finger edge swipe controls. Now you add the camera upgrade, Siri, the processing upgrade, a new iOS, a significant memory upgrade, and Cloud Storage!

That's worth shelling out $400 for!

Just a couple of those items a la carte? Forget it!!

Clearly the apple has already begun to fall from the Job's tree.

Why does everyone keep saying 400 bucks? I guess everyone is ordering the 64GiG. I had the 8 Gig on my 3GS and it held more than enough music, so I got the 16 Gig for 200. I don't want to wait another year, most likely next summer because I was eligible for an upgrade to 4 6 months ago but I held off until this version, whatever it was going to be. They have announced they have presold over 1 million in 24hrs so they wont miss any sales. I'm sure a lot had to do with this being the last "Steve Job" phone and he boost the sales. With a new leader, hopefully they will change the look and so forth on the next version, and then I will get the 2nd version of that version, lol.

Wrong. "the revolution was supposed to...?" You continue to harp on this when it's been pointed out that was all SPECULATION. Apple did not address one thing about the new phone. The apple has fallen? Not even close as long as people endlessly salivate over rumors, and as long as they sell a milli

Your failure to accept responsibility for your faulty expectations based on rumors is astounding. It's a good thing Apple didn't actually promise anything at all; I'd fear for your mental health if that had been the case.

Got my iPad & iPhone updated after many hours. I like the update though I will have to delve deeper to see what other updates are in it. I love the iMessage and message center the best. I also like that I can split the keyboard on my iPad so I can type with my thumbs and the up volume being used as a camera click.

Got my 4S this am and the process was fast. Siri was working right out of the box. I sent my first text using Siri and she dictates very well. Also, the restore from my PC was really fast, I would assume thats because of the new processor because it usually take a while on my 3GS.

inorite!?!

You know with the passing of Steve Jobbs and Tim Cook taking over as CEO, I thought this would be a new chapter of things to come from apple. Apparently they still want to pull this BS and introduce slight variations on their former products and release it as something revolutionary just to make a buck *cough iPad2 *cough.

Although others do it, such as Nintendo, with the DS, DSLite, DSi
