That's how it was in my school from 7th grade through high school. By the end of the school year, no one was wearing a jockstrap and in my junior year, the gym teacher made a comment while we were in class about it saying it was obvious who was wearing one or not. It makes me wonder about his sexual preferences. He was one of those overbuilt jock types that acted overly macho and everything.
