My roommate/friends girlfriends tends to annoy me because she is in her younger 20's and thinks she knows her shit better than she actually does. Today she posted a result of some dumb internet quiz where it says you're like a certain character from X show/movie.

She says "I can't say I am surprised"

What the caption said of the character she was like was:
You are always the smartest person in the room, but you know how to put your intelligence to good use to help people you love. Sure, you can be a bit bossy and overbearing sometimes, but is it your fault that you're always right?

That sounds in jest, but she posted one similar a week ago and she "wasn't surprised" by that result either. Mind you that months ago I got into an argument with her cause I had the audacity to tell her she should wipe her own shit off the toilet seat. She said if I cleaned it that was my "prerogative." You know, as if anyone wants to sit on a shitty toilet seat that someone else was too lazy to clean.

I hate her.

MEN SUCK !!!!

Fuckingarrogantselfcenteredmanipulativedomineeringbastardchestthumpingknuckledraggingmouthbreather ...in pants.

So... yeah. How was YOUR day???

This is why I am single.

So I had an impromptu meeting with a guy that seemed decent and he came on WAY TOO FUCKING STRONG!!! As an INTJ, I am subversive to flirtation but over the past three weeks he seemed decent but his true colors came out and he was a needy fucker; even for my "hopeful romantic" liking. I passed on him but I was near another guy who had a thing for me and killed two birds with one stone tonight and glad I did. I have not driven stick in about 4 years and doing so with a decent buzz on was a tad frustrating. Didn't stall out but no thanks for driving his drunk ass home. Then I had to walk back to my car which was about a half mile away. I'm not gonna bitch about that because I am used to it but the guy couldn't even feign sympathy for walking in 8F temperatures.

I should just put a chastity cage over my pubis and get over the melodrama that is dating.

Pissing down all day and some chap on the bus kicked me as I was getting out. I should have flattened him but ...um...no...it's 49 bus and he's a regular. Fukkk da shit.

So I don't know how many of you are privy to ratchet dance party music  but a kid was "poppin it" and singing this in his seat earlier this morning. I pretended like I didn't see it. The teacher didn't see, so I just let him have his fun. I guess its hard to censor kids today.

Atleast it was only the chorus ?

reading about how much escorts can make for an hour's work makes me green with envy. :dead:
You're telling me I can make 300+ bucks an hour just to (in some scenarios) entertain men that I would gladly sleep with anyway?

life is so unfair.

Indeed...that's how people pay for college nowadays.

The disconnect is amazing sometimes between older generations and the younger ones today. We treat older people talking about how good the younger people have it like a given. But these days if you heard someone say something like "I worked my TAIL off waiting and busing tables in law school!" we'd just roll our eyes at each other. Law school is about a quarter of a million dollars today.

So true, sometimes I feel like school is one big scam.

I want to go back and get my Masters but my mom did that 2 1/2 years ago and still can't find a better job.

I just dont know.

Exactly the same boat. 100%.

yep...or pay off one's loans they made when going to college to get a bullshit degree to begin with. :##:

Gawd...sometimes I feel like I just need to start over. If I could turn back time, I would choose a more practical career path...or take up a number of different trades or something. Hindsight is 20/20. That bullshit dream of "go to college...and life is x,y,z easier..." was just that...a dream.

People are fighting tooth and nail to get a decent job these days, so it's hard as hell to get in the door at any place.

sorry, MissAnne. I'm just going off on a tangent. I feel like I was lied to...made a series of dumbass decisions, and now I'm paying for it on a daily basis. It's a damn shame when someone selling their body for money reminds me what a waste of time (and money) my degree is.

I totally agree with you. I think basically being told at 18: okay here's the deal, you better go to college, right now, because if you don't, you're going to be a loser forever, so pick something you're going to use for the rest of your life, is really dumb. Kids make one of two decisions largely, the safe bet for the money field (this can go wrong... remember when they were saying there was "infinite" demand in programming and IT?) which they could very well end up hating (or even not using) or they take something interesting and can't land a career job with the degree they get. I think most people would choose something much more in between those two extremes if it was "normal" for people to work for 5 or 10 years after high school and then go to college.

You got your Masters and can't find a better job ?

I do not have my masters, I intended to go back years ago, and the way the economy has been, I just haven't been able to justify the thought of losing all income, taking out huge loans, going massively into debt and then just hoping I can get a job that will take care of all of that afterwards.

Don't turn your back on the little rug rats, and don't show fear... they can smell fear.
