OMFG, would my neck stop hurting me, please? And I feel tired and sleepy as hell.
Going through the medical records of an elderly disabled vet friend of my boss's. Four. Hundred. Pages. Of medical records. The United States Veterans Affairs dept. has screwed this guy over for years. They've ruled he's disabled, they know he's disabled. Hell, their incompetence in his medical care is directly and provably responsible for a majority of his disability, and the dangerous condition of his health and wellbeing But they're also supposed to be paying him for said disability and they're not. Especially since it is provably their incompetence in his medical care that has caused the decline of his health
I'm no doctor, nor do I play one on TV. But I can see that they've willfully allowed his poor heart health, his diabetes, his mental health amongst other things to go unchecked for years, if not decades, since the '90s!!! There's been everything from surgery mishaps (the screw left inside his left arm after fracture repair surgery) to them saying in his allergic reactions list, that he's allergic to flu. Not the flu vaccine. But the illness itself. When my boss and I buy him groceries, we buy him 2 cube-cases of eggs every month - it's impossible that he's allergic to the flu vaccine, since he eats eggs like they're going out of style. If you've read the previous 3 or 4 sentences of what I wrote, and are scratching your head going, "wait, wut???" Well yeah, we are, too.
Just by my sheer using Google to help me decipher all of this information and what it all means, basically, there are more holes in this guy's 400 pages of medical records than there are in Swiss cheese. We think the VA might owe this guy hundreds of thousands, if not a million or two in backpaid disability for what they really owe him, plus, as I said, all the medical issues they prove in his records that he actually has, but they're not effectively treating him for it, nor are they actually paying him for it - both of which, they're actually supposed to be doing.
