It is the problem with right wing reactionaries. They are always the victims and everyone always needs to understand how right wing straight white men 'feel'.
Ugh.
I find that families that don't try to force get-togethers because religious and political differences always colour the event can actually get along better. In any event, this year, I think there are millions of people who are trying to give family and friends a pass to spend a quieter reflective Christmas without it being tainted by the sure-to-happen political conversations.
Cyclists are a dumb lot! Why don't they think they have to follow the rules of the road. Today I saw not one, not two, but THREE cyclists texting while riding along University Ave. Many just blow stop signs and red lights at will, yet people wonder why so many die on the streets. Message to cyclists: Do not challenge cars, you will not win.
Cyclists can go from vehicles to pedestrians whenever it's convenient for them. Most cyclists I've encountered also have a huge sense of entitlement; they feel entitled to break the rules, such as cutting in front of cars, riding 0.00001 Km/H in the middle of the driving lane, riding between lanes of stopped cars, running red lights, and just generally disrupting traffic.
Cyclists usually reply to comments like mine with "BUT CARZ DUE IT 2!" (as if that makes it OK for them to do it), but the difference is that when a motorist does it, they know they're doing something wrong and they'll get pulled over and ticketed for it. Cyclists can get away with it because their rules aren't enforced, and they feel entitled to do it. They'll say it's because their bikes are small and "won't hurt anyone", but I'm not slamming on my brakes and honking because I'm worried about my car getting damaged, I'm doing it because I don't want to hit and injure someone.
