I have some nice burn ointment for you all.Homemade recipe O:)

Anyone want to buy a used half century old right leg (with a big calf muscle)? I don't know if it's from lumbar spinal stenosis or Meralgia Paresthetica. Right now the front of my right thigh is burning like mad. The skin is probably 10 degrees cooler than my left thigh. It's gotten worse. Used to be that it didn't bother me while sitting. Now it does.

Standing long enough to make a meal is a real pain (literally). A couple times my right leg has almost collapsed under me. Imagine the mess if that happened while I was holding a full plate of food (especially spaghetti). I'd wind up with spaghetti all over me and the carpet.

Doctor gave me a prescription for Gabapentin, I'm to take it 3x a day. So far, it hasn't helped.

...and that's how I broke my foot. I went to walk somewhere, left leg was numb and I just collapsed on it. what's the dosage of your gabapentin if you don't mind me asking? It can also take a bit of time to experience the benefits. I'm on either two 600 or 800 pills 3x daily. I think. Damn things are horse pills. Not perfect, my hands in particular have a few issues but if you give yourself some time the Meds tend to work. Your doc might just need to up the dose.

What if he accidentally swallows some? Do you make it by hand? Is it toxic?

I totally recommend swallowing so it will work from the inside out.Its non toxic and
is made by hand in small quantities.Every one ounce portion is packed on ice and ready
to go.Send $39.95 to Orajizz 6969 Fruitwood Drive,Cummings N.J. No refunds!

Does it involve cabbage? :p

A head will cost you extra.

They are 300mg capsules. Even though the Neurologist didn't say anything, I'm still a bit leery taking it.

I have epilepsy and am already on to meds for it. Gababentin is also used for epilepsy (that's the main use).

It's also the go-to med for peripheral neuropathy cuz of the (relative) lack of side affects. Talk to the doc responsible for your epilepsy meds and point out that you might need to decrease one of them and increase the other, but only if you're up for it. Don't have epilepsy myself so can't really help on that axis. I was told that there's a cap for the neurontin and your body will ignore it if you take more than the max recommended dose (for the med, not an individual's prescription).

Maybe Rareboy needs a blended salve as opposed to a single malt, as it were. Everybody get busy.

I nee help badly.

I have wo daughters and each one is graduating this year, one from high school and the other from junior high, so for the past few months us three have been shopping for prom dresses. Two weeks back we found the perfect dresses for each, so we bought them and took them home. Both girls are thrilled. Here's the problem... I can't stop. Everywhere I go I still look at prom dresses and this past weekend I even bought two more, just in case one of them changes their mind. I'm even looking at shoes, hair styles and accessories for each. I don't think this is normal behavior for a dad but I am hooked. Any suggestions? And no, I won't try any on for ya's. :D

That's an aweful lot of money to funnel into such a short-lived fashion statement. That said, putting together the 'perfect look' for a thing can get addicting. Perhaps buy a sketchbook and draw the fashionable looks you'd like to create?

Not really on topic, but this is as good a place to ask as anywhere. This is not an issue or a problem in any way, but something that I've been curious about...for years. (I should just remember to ask my Doctor what causes this, but i never remember - he'd probably know.)

This feeling is not uncomfortable in any way, nor does it bother me in any way...I just think of it as STRANGE. It's always very temporary (usually lasting one to four seconds at most).

It's generally caused by seeing something "extreme" - and often (but not always) involves something about heights.

OK, that being said, I have a slight queasiness about heights...but I have done things like zip lines, dangling my legs right over the edge of a cliff in the Grand Canyon, etc.

I noticed this sensation when I looked at somebody's email earlier, which showed pictures from 70 to 130 years ago...included were some steelworker pictures of people teetering on girders hundreds of feet up, with no safety equipment of any kind, when the Empire State and Woolworth Buildings were being built "between the Wars" in NYC. One guy standing on the "I-beam" end of a vertical girder...yikes!

I've also had the same sensation when I watch somebody snowboarding down a steep mountain, or seeing somebody taking a big tumble on a failed motorcycle leap, or an extreme skateboarder going 20 or 30 feet above the halfpipe, etc. The sensation is the same whether or not the thing is done free of incident.

It's sort of a strange "shuddery" feeling - sort of a cross between numbness and being tickled, and it's only a mild sensation - hard to describe. Though it is not sexual in ANY way whatsoever, the strongest feeling is in the penis, and the surrounding pube area, and about halfway down the inner side of the thigh. As I said, it disappears almost as soon as it starts.

This is some kind of psychosomatic REFLEX, or something - but WHAT is it? Just curious...again, it does not bother me at all.

Sounds like a low-grade feeling of adrenaline. All adrenaline reactions aren't created equal, and I know there's other hormones involved despite my lapsed memory. I once flipped over my bike (I know, I know, shouldn't have been on it in the first place) and took all my weight on my chin - that was a rather extreme shock to the body. Same thing occurred but about 20 times as strong and lasted a hell of a lot longer. The whiplash was a bastard. It sounds like your body gets ready to protect or defend and then realizes it doesn't need to.

In my case the "energy" suddenly gathers in my chest, I hope it's not the symptom of a heart attack
But it's only with very high places, I have no problems watching the big airs of the skaters or the snowboarders riding down steep slopes, I actually enjoy that

I also sense this feeling when I'm with someone else in the car who is driving and has a different timing of using the brakes than mine, a.k.a. they brake in the last second...

Or when I watch a video where someone is doing something irresponsible. It's like my mind didn't expect to go there buy my eyes force it to trespass that limit and I get this feeling as a reaction.

Our Georgia Peach is a bit Punny tonight.
The nerve of you!
