I really don't get why some gay guys think that being an asshole is cute or keeps them in touch with their "inner gayness"

It's a defense mechanism for many of them. If you really get to know some of these guys, you'd find they're insecure, needing of love and validation, and scarred/on guard because of shit they may have dealt with in the past.

Let me beat you to the punch and let you know I won't put up with your bullshit...because I'm not just a weak gay guy. I'm quick, witty and I will cut you with words, blah blah blah...

That's very true sadly. I understand now that you explained it why they would be that way and can most definitely relate but speaking for myself that would in the past and still approaching the world in a hostile and angry fashion before I step out there though I'm learning to let go and that people don't care about me where I can do whatever I want and if someone disses me to ignore them though it's tough when it's a habit that's been going on for years, it doesn't lead to anything but that negative energy coming right back. So it's like self fulfilling prophecy. It's really not the way to go. Learning how to be more confident and let people say whatever. It's tough.

I try to not associate with those types but sadly sometimes they come with the territory. To avoid them completely would mean having to hide and I'm not about to stop my life because of them. If I can avoid them, I will. They aren't worth the headache or having to stoop down to go there with them because I don't plan on getting a rap sheet or having to start swinging on anybody or having my temper blow over completely where I really start spazzing out and shit.

We had everything yesterday. Started out sunny, then snowed. Cleared up again and was sunny. Then a thunderstorm rolled thru. It cleared up again. Then a snow blizzard with thunder and lighting came thru. Dumped a couple inches on us.
