In the no good deed goes unpunished department...

I've been following a story that's being published on-line for some while. Like many such productions, it's less than polished from time to time, and given the historical setting -- early 19th century -- the author sometimes stumbles into anachronism. But when he's "on", he's often managed to produce scenes which are simply amazing. He's written some battle scenes, for example, which are a pleasure to read, and some of those I've gone back and re-read a number of times just because they were so enjoyable.

I kept meaning to write the author, to offer some thanks and encouragement, but I kept putting it off. Finally, after reading the latest instalment, I sent him an email expressing my pleasure with his efforts ... and he responded.

The first part of his message was to thank me for my appreciation ... and not only to thank me, but to thank me effusively, with equal parts of marmalade and smarm, with perhaps a teacup-full of golden syrup poured over for good measure. I felt rather sticky at that point.

But then he went on at greater length to let me know how much he appreciated knowing there was someone else in the world who wasn't letting himself be victimised by political correctness, the unnatural role of women in the modern world, female domination, with mention of bathing and other elements of basic personal hygiene thrown in ... stopping somewhere just short of launching into a diatribe about the castrator goddess.

My head was spinning at that point. I have no idea where all of that came from.

You now I'll never get those people who think that good music doesn't exist in this day and age BUT they aren't looking hard enough.

Just listen to this because this is evidence that good music is still out there for all to enjoy. Everything about Charli XCX screams talent AND here we have proof that today is buzzing with great music.:=D:

But this is only one masterpiece out of many.

Been there, I found myself waiting for the boss on average of 15 minutes more than twice a week, I had him write me in at 6:00.
He wised up and gave me a key, then he showed up even later.
 
Yea, luckily I don't have issues with still only staying the time that I was scheduled and the "missed" time gets accounted for.
 
I just hope they plan on locking those monsters up forever for attacking Kim in her hotel room and holding a gun to her head.


What kind of vile creatures would attack one of the most important women in the world today...??? She's been left shaken and really scared for her life. They stole her riches as well just because they can't afford their own stuff.

Why don't they get a job and buy their own jewelry instead of steal from innocent women just minding their own business and living their lives? At least she's got the support of her adoring fans to help her through this difficult time in her life.

All she's ever done is entertain the globe and this is the thanks she gets. Disgusting.
