I hope it works out how you want it. Will keep a good thought for you, TLL. Let us know how it goes.

Problem is I have no idea what I want. I felt for sure just weeks ago that feelings were involved, but I sense the distance between us, that perhaps he's not ready. (And why should he be? He met me when his seven-year relationship was going down in flames. He should probably be single for a long time, anyway).

I like him. I think he's a friend. And I love the sex we have. But I think something's off.

Our lunch was postponed because he's been busy. (He's always busy. Owns his business as a sound engineer. Constantly working on film projects in his home office). I meet him today. Perhaps I'll suggest we keep us at just "having fun."

I honestly think that for me a romantic attachment is impossible. Which is perfectly fine, I just wish I wasn't such a sexual being, so that I could at least eliminate men altogether. Instead, in my search for sex, I end up in these dead end situations, and once they inevitably blow up, I have to look for sex elsewhere.

I'm a horny man who wants sex, but tired of being on the prowl for it, would rather have one partner, but not capable of love. Odd combination.

I can relate to all that very easily. They say you've never really failed until you stop trying. I'd more or less given up the struggle by the time I was your age, and once you give up it's a lot harder to get going again, as I've discovered. So stay in the water and keep going.

IN OTHER NEWS:

This will mean nothing to anyone outside the British Isles, but if I hear the words GREAT BRITISH BAKE-OFF one more time I swear to God I'll SCREAM. Am I the only person in the country who doesn't give a monkey's about any of it?

^ Oh no...even in Canada if I hear Great British Bake Off...I want to hit someone with a rolling pin.

My eldest daughter kinda came out to her mother and I last night, and BION, I'm having a bit of a hard time processing it. Plus the fact that it was on facebook before she told us was a little off putting.

BION= believe it or not. And she came out as bisexual. And yes, the irony is not lost on me.

Naw, she'll be ok. It's not like she's moving to Scotland, or some god forsaken place.

Ha ha ha!! No joke, she used to date a Scotish kid, but I'll still give you the point for good sportsmanship.

Well there you go, any Scotsman that would go to Canada must be wacked in the head ;)

^ You'd think.

But the country was/is overrun with them.

We have more taber tossing and Highland dancing around here than they probably do in the auld country.

It seems they had a huge campaign to populate the place during the 60/70's, £10 flights etc, Scotland must have been a desolate wasteland for them to choose Canada.

"Must have been?" Past tense? :rotflmao:
