CABER tossing, I thought it was...though there is a Taber in Alberta...

I was just in eastern Nova Scotia, which is trés Scottish (if I may mix languages here).
 
^ phat phingers produce the taber for caber...or else thelochs and fens Scots who over-ran the lochs and fens must have changed the spelling.
 
Today is turning out to be a real disaster.....and over the weekend...I honestly could feel a disturbance in the force.
 
RB, there definitely has been.

Sheep lost his pup of many years recently, we lost our 13YO cat today (cancer spread through his body),and a co-worker's husband broke his ankle. He has MS on top of it.
 
^ I can't imagine that you'd wish that burden on any driver.
 
Dancing with the idea of cancelling Thanksgiving over my families, this years election has been an eye opener. And I don't know if I can sit across from people who are voting for individuals who would succeed or try their damnest to make my life and every other group that isn't a white christian a living hell.

And please don't respond with not letting Political opinions ruin relationships, because there is a difference between having a problem with someones political party (which I generally don't have this problem) and having a problem with family members/friends who vote for people who would actually have a negative impact on peoples lives, especially the ones they say they love and care about.
 
^ I hear ya. I think that this year, a lot of families might be best to forego the big reunions and have a dinner on their own or with friends who really do share their values and experience.

Thanksgiving family dinners can be terrifying as it is, but this year, politics is going to ruin everything, no matter which side feels that they have been screwed over.
