The only reason I can think of for Kim taking this selfie is that her sisters have been in the headlines lately and Kim has been suspiciously absent. This, I think, is her way to get the spotlights back on her again. The last time I can remember her in the news was when she was defending Kanye for begging for money to pay off his debts.

I can go days without even thinking about her or the rest of her horrible family and then a thread like this pops up and reimnds me that they exist.

I used to think Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan worked for Darth Cheney because every time they did something really shitty that fucked over the American people...the only thing on the news the next day was one of those three fucking idiots...

They are a product of an intellectually impoverished imagination....the notion that anyone would care about what they do in their utterly narcissistic existence has baffled me for years now. They have contributed nothing of worth or substance to humanity or to to the arts...like Paris Hilton...they are famous simply for being famous.

I look forward to going back to forgetting about the mess of them in about half an hour.

What's most interesting to me about the reporting of this story is that none of the sources, even the French ones, name the hotel. It's simply "un hotel". A few seconds spent on the internet reveals that the K/J crowd usually stays at the Royal Monceau, and you'd think that the press could with a little effort confirm if the "robbery" or "attempted robbery" took place there, and if not there, where. I've read that KUWTK ratings are down. This should help for a while.

I just read the piece in 20 Minutes more closely. It states the hotel is on the rue Tronchet. Kim is staying in a 4-star hotel? In a Best Western? Perhaps for some reason or another she wanted anonymity for a change????
