the last film you watched thread

The last film I watched is strangely super connected to this film! It was Sleepaway Camp, a terrible terrible horror movie from the 80s forgotten by most, but that the makers of Wet Hot American Summer based a tonne of scenes and characters off

You mean, terribly wonderful! :luv: I certainly remember it, but can't tell you a thing about WHAS.

I know either Sleepaway Camp part 2 or 3 is also reputably interesting, been meaning to add one to my queue.

I'm on a roll with uninteresting movies. Stuart Gordon's Castle Freak (1995) is purportedly based on Lovecraft's The Outsider. It's not.

Just watched Event Horizon with the housemates. Loved it. Creepy setting, chilling vibe, and good acting.

Frozen - good, if not quite as brilliant as all the rave reviews had led me to believe. But it's right up there with Mulan in terms of strong moral message. And Kristoff can join Flynn Rider and Prince Eric in my wank fantasies. Actually, Prince Hans can join as well.

Eighteen (2005) with Alan Cumming and the voice of Ian McKellen.

I liked it, but it would have been much better without the "big shock" scene. It didn't work right.

Captain America The Winter Soldier. I loved it. I'll see it again this weekend! :D

Had an "oldies" night the other night. Watched Congo with a few of my buds....don't know how I sat through it.

The original (1973) Day of the Jackal, directed by Fred Zinnemann. Highly recommended.

Derek Jarman's flamboyant biography of Wittgenstein (1993).

^ in that case, I won't bother.

His first film was sexy. All the others were extremely depressing if not just plain bad.
