I had an older friend turn me on to this movie and I've never forgotten it! I love the witty repartee that permeates throughout the dialogue! So classic!!
White Material
In an unnamed African country in the throes of a volatile regime change, Maria Vial, played by the electrifying Isabelle Huppert, is trying to sustain the coffee plantation she runs with her ex-husband André, played by Christophe Lambert (Highlander, Greystoke). Unknown to her, he has other plans. With the regular army preparing to regain control, French forces have moved out, warning the remaining white residents that they're on their own if they stay behind. Featured in the Venice, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles film festivals, White Material is an extraordinarily visceral, potent and very personal rumination on a society turned upside down.

the city of lost children, it's a French film but surprisingly good.
On cable last night, an all-time favorite of mine.
Gods and Monsters

Mmm....
That scene where Brendon pulls his shirt off to get, um. "sketched" ....
I've seen it a half-dozen times and still an instant semi every time....![]()
