Metroporisu
fritz langs 'metropolis' gets the anime treatment, and the result is much weirder than what i expected. the charcter designs seem to be inspired by early disney and, for some reason, chris bachalo. the world is somewhere between steam-punk and cyber-punk. the soundtrack is mostly jazzy (taking a cue from 'cowboy bebop') which works really well about half of the time and is terribly distracting the other half. the story embraces some of the worst anime cliches as it incoherently builds towards an overheated climax, but if youre a sci-fi and/or anime fan, this is still worth seeing for the unique animation alone.
 
An Inside Job.

It dissects the 2008 financial crises. It is very relevant to what has been happening on Wall Street the past week. It explains all this AAA rating stuff and shows how truly inept S&P is.
 
Rise Of The Planet Of the Apes (Ugh I hate the title).

The movie itself was okay...just okay but I liked the setup for the sequel.

i love that film, Guillermo Del Toro is one of my fave film makers of the moment and i love that film of his.

The last movie i seen was the Royal Tennebaums. i liked it although it is kinda of boring at moments.
