Night of the Hunter

Night of the Hunter is my favorite Robert Mitchem film. The plot, the black and white photography, the ride down the river after seeing mom at the bottom, and preacher following on horseback. Then the lines "He ain't my dad!" followed by "and he ain't no preacher neither!" And I loved Pearl and the way her bother pronounced her name like Purrl.

I have seen Spiderman:Into the Spiderverse which is excellent. The Favourite which is excellent. Roma and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on Netflix, excellent as well.

Haha, yes. Purrl.

The ride down the river is my favorite part. Very memorable. It has a woozy, dreamlike feel to it. Even though the preacher was following them, it seemed like they would be completely safe as long as they stayed on the river. The shots of the different animals on the riverbank suggested a childlike fantasy, as if the film was mimicking their innocence.

As a whole, the film was quite influential. It'a amazing that Charles Laughton never directed another one.

Mary Queen of Scots.

Again two strong female leading roles.

Isn't It Romantic - Did not know what to expect but as it was released on Netflix here I thought I would give it a try! I liked it! It was funny and different to a typical romantic comedy in so many ways.

Bride of Chucky (1998)

Occupation

The story follows a group of civilians who form a home grown resistance army after their small Australian country town is annihilated by an extraterrestrial force. Together they form the human rebellion in a battle for the planet and the survival of the human race.

Bad, bad, bad movie. Actually there are bad, bad, bad movies that are better that this one. DON'T WASTE YOU'RE TIME watching this.
